I renewed my SG account after being dormant for half a year, and sad to discover all my favorite writers/editors/suicidegirls have gone away, gone dormant, or have moved on... odd, even scrolling through the news posts, geek posts, and local section it seems as if the site has generally slowed down.
Interesting. why is this i wonder?
I know that humans have a limited attention span, and will and do move on to bigger and better things when they have the chance. but was there a mass exodus in creative writers? does it reflect from a change in the photosets that have been being put up by an onslaught of the hopefuls section where it's snapshots of girls hanging out being naked, rather than girls and photographers expressing creative artistic ideas through the mediums of photography and nudity?
Or did this site take a dive when Wil Wheaton stopped posting, I dunno. I'll be on here for another year, I'll have to find out.
