Hey Man, long time. wink Did you catch any of the video of the Obama rally in Portland over the weekend? Crazy; 75,000 strong. I hope it means votes because as I wrote in the Liberal Politics group, the Republicans will not go down without a nasty fight.

Cool videos. Check out this site: Slacker.com. Good place to catch some internet radio in your favorite genres. Like the Blues. biggrin

Peter Jennings, Ed Bradley and now Tim Russert. Watched them all. Life and journalism goes on but those guys are definitely missed.

And unfortunately, last Fri was tragic for my friend who lost a good buddy to leukemia...

Unfortunately, I don't play poker, nor am I much into gambling (I'd rather by a good CD or DVD than blow money on something when the odds are stacked against me). Oh well. At least Vegas is something different. wink

Yes, Lou is indeed a cat of exceptional refinement and taste. And, of course, a man of exceptional refinement and taste would recognize that fact. smile

I completely agree with your "blues is the healer" statement. I listen to Howlin' Wolf and I feel like everything is damned-near perfect! (At least temporarily.)

And speaking of transformative music!

I came across this really incredible old, live-performance of Wall of Voodoo. It was shot back in 1982, at Atlanta's 688 Club. Stan and Co. are absolutely at the top of their game. So great!

Anyway...

Take care, my friend. Always wonderful to hear from your pirate-self. biggrin

miao!! kiss

PS: I hope to check out that new Cusack film this coming weekend. I'm sure it'll get me riled up.
