Some days I think about writers I like and imagine having a conversation with them. When I think about Flannery O'Connor, we usually talk about peacocks and what a fucker lupus is. I painted the above right after reading Wise Blood, which isn't nearly as good as her short stories. It's odd to me that I would want to hang out with a Catholic southern belle.

I'll have some paintings up at the Goodfoot for the Last Thursday art walk this month. It should be a good time, come on by and have a drink. Now, I should be painting.
I need a new one of these.
