I accidentally kneeled on my Kobo a few days ago and busted the screen..... so it's back to reading books the old fashioned way until I buy a new one.
I had a follow up appointment concerning my arm and the surgeon thinks that I might require another surgery. My bicep tendon is attached and seems to be functioning, but I have almost no strength. He has a good idea what's causing the problem, but he wants me to meet with another surgeon for a second opinion.
I also had him take a look at my knee (which I've already had 3 surgeries on) and it looks like I might need to have surgery on it again (last one was 15yrs ago).
I'm right handed, and it's my right arm and leg that require surgeries, so it should be an interesting summer.
On an up note, the weather has been friggin' awesome that last few days. YAY spring.
I wish I had good news to report
On the bright side, I'm not letting this bum me out. There's an awful lot left of 2012 to turn things around.
I was at the car rental centre the other day (after I smacked up my mom's civic.... opps) and I overheard the guy behind the counter tell a customer on the phone that their van's "can carry a greater payload" than the standard rental car. I don't know about you, but "payload" & "Van's" spoken in the same sentence regarding a rental vehicle usually involve some kind of terrorist plot. I really wanted to tell him that he might want to exchange "payload" with "cargo space", but I didn't feel right about being all PC.
On another note, my brother, and my niece & nephew when on boat ride today to spread my fathers ashes. It turned out to be a light hearted day, especially after my 11yr old nephew said "bye grandpa, may you rest in pieces" when he took his turn to spread the ashes. Shortly after my brother asked if anyone wanted to go swimming (obviously in a different location) and my nephew said "can we move the boat away from here first? I don't want to swim in Grandpa".

For you Yankes:

49 C = 120.2
Odds are I'll be back again at some point in the future, but I don't see it being anytime soon.
This is one of those times I wish I was a chick, and could flash a boob in hopes of some dude flippin' the bill to see more, but alas I'm a lowly guy, on a site where women get all the attention...... oh well.
There's a ton of peeps that I'll miss...... hopefully you'll all be around should I return.
I'll most likely be on to check mail until the account closes, but this will be my last blog until then.
Take Care,
xoxo
On the way to driving my best friend to work she took me to a store called "The Hedge Witch", which is your typical Wiccan type of store. They had a lot of interesting stuff, but one item caught my eye immediately and almost spoke to me..... I just felt drawn to it. It was a cheap nylon cord necklace with a pendant that's a copper casting of a Woodpeckers skull. Here's a few pics (sorry.... crappy webcam):

In case you're wondering, I'm not a wiccan, but I really appreciate their spiritual beliefs especially:
An it harm none do what ye will
Onto music.....
Here's one for the lovely JuneCarter ..... brilliant Mash-Up of the White Stripes & Prodigy
A song that always sends shivers down my spine.
Diggin' their return with Rome...
If you listen to any of these songs, please let it be this one. This song is so beautiful. Definitely worth purchasing on iTunes. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the rest of their music, but this song is a real gem...... and they're from Toronto, Canada.
Some mainstream punk
And just because I can be a little sappy sometimes
Going out with a bang..... love this tune
Have a great weekend all ![]()
Anyhoo, rearily
With that said I'll move onto other things. I came across the most amazing quote today:
“The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.”
- W. M. Lewis
I think that quote would make a great tattoo....... that and
Living is a problem because everything dies - Biffy Clyro
I know that this song has been listed in my blog b4, but if f'n' rocks
I've decided on my next tattoo. Since I now have a tattoo in honor of my father, I'm going to get one in honor of my mother. I'm going to have a band aid tattoo'd just below my right knee (the one I've had 3 surgeries on). My mother is the most caring person I know of, and she was always there to pick up the pieces and patch me up..... emotionally and physically.
Half fumbling, half falling,
always towards an unknown destination,
a place of unending darkness.
Drained, and drenched in emotional turmoil,
I grope my way through the darkness searching for answers to questions that have yet to be voiced.
Uncertainty is the light that guides my path.
Okay..... I've been going for a ton of walks lately..... which also means I've also been listening to a ton of music during those walks. Here's what I'm hooked on lately:
It's Getting Boring By The Sea - Blood Red Shoes
- This song is also off the "Scott Pilgram vs the World" soundtrack....... which ROCKS.
Under Cover of Darkness - The Strokes
I Feel You - Sam Roberts Band
- If you`ve heard this on the radio they usually cut out the 1st 1:07 secs of the song.
Carousel - Blink 182
Club Thing - Yoav
- Frakking awesome song..... gotta crank it.
