growing up with dogs that were only ever dumped and taken in or adopted from shelters, i certainly understand where you're coming from, which is why there was a long conversation about reasons behind this particular kind of dog before the decision was made to go to a breeder instead of a shelter. future dogs, though, will likely be from rescue shelters of some sort.
