Dear SG,

I have given you nine years this January with nary a break. It has been a great ride but I think that it is coming to an end. When I first met you, you were a tiny startup down the street from my house. A neighborhood business that I wanted to support. About 9 months later I signed up for an account and I have been with you ever since. The number of people I have met along the way are too many to count. I will and do miss many who have dropped off the site and while I may come back it is time to let the account lapse and realize I am not supporting the local neighborhood business any longer and it is ok to let go, you have grown and moved on also.

Thanks for everything and to everyone I have met through the years.

Yeah Holidays! Almost done with all Christmas shopping and not a single budget buster amongst them... looks like I roll into Jan with no debt hangover from Christmas. So far. It is only the 9th after all.

2010 is turning into an epic good year for me career wise and financially. Feels a bit guilty with how many people around me are struggling but this is the best I have been since maybe 2002. Loving it. Trying to restrain myself from doing something like buying a new car. hehe.

A lot of companies have crunch time this time of year but since my projects are on my own timelines and I am done with most of the ones that are visible to others I am coasting into the end of the year and enjoying the late Fall weather and hoping for a bit of snow. Well we have snow in the mountains but I want it down here on my street.

It is a Honda for crissakes... sigh... why me. Transmission dead. Wallet dead. Me? Angry to the tune of $3K. Grrrrrrr....

On my way to New Orleans tomorrow. Work conference TechEd. Usually more fun than work and that is what I love about it. Looking forward to a break.

gah.. I never update. I swear I am not letting the auto renewal get me this year!!! other than that all is swell, new hair cut all crisp and short for Summer. Work is starting to blow but just a few more weeks and I am off to New Orleans for a bit of a break. Too bad BP had to put the damper on my hopes of mounds of luscious fresh seafood!

Whoa.. I found this movie so compelling and yet deeply disturbing and at times a little frightening. There were so many layers I was not sure if I was coming or going though I am pretty sure that is the point.

Maybe I will take a new job as a radio pundit. Got a couple of quotes onto NPR today re the SOTU speech last night. Though the answers they put on the air were the ones where they boxed me into answering something I did not really have a strong answer for or opinion on so they came off a bit... weird I guess.

Anyway. Woo Hoo me Radio Star? Haha.. I have the face for Radio!!

My SG life continues to fade. If it was not for the auto renewals I probably would have dropped awhile back. But alas still here. Funny though the same post on SG and FB will generate 1 maybe two comments on SG yet around 30 on FB. Shows where I am more engaged I guess.

OMG soooo happy! Three years ago my doc gave me what felt like looming mortality.. my Cholesterol was at 300. It was only a matter of time before a heart attack took me down. I tried all sorts of things but really the diet was too tough to stick to on a consistent basis. This year I took up running and today I got my test results. 153! He actually did a double take smiled and said congratulations. I am sooo happy. A lot of effort but I did it. I feel so free, watching everything I eat and do for 3 years and now I am free. Just gotta keep the running.
