Quick update, since it's been a while since that last one.
It's been crazy busy for me the past few weeks. I got that job in Kentucky, which is AWESOME!!! This will be my first job in terrestrial radio and I'll be doing exactly what I set out to do.
So...the last couple weeks have been spent packing and trying to find a place to live, which isn't easy when you're moving 10 hours away. Fortunately, we found a place and put the lease in the mail this week. We leave early Monday morning and my first day is Wednesday the 24th. I can't wait!!
I'll leave you with a couple pics from my going away party. Next stop: Paducah, KY. See you on the other side...

Had pretty low-key but nice birthday yesterday. Jenn made me breakfast before we hit the laundromat. After that, it was off to dinner and then the Indians game. We lost to the Yankees which sucks, but it's still so much fun to go to the ballpark. The game was highlighted by some genius fan who decided to feed the seagulls with peanuts in right-center field. It looked like a Hitchcock movie for a little while. Awesome. All-in-all, a good birthday.

Kinda have some news on the job front. I had an interview this past Tuesday with a rock station in Paducah, KY. The drive is a little over 9 hours, so it turned into a 2 day road trip. If I get it, I would do morning news and weather for 3 stations, some commercial production and I'd be the midday guy from 10am to 2pm. The interview seemed to go well and I should hear something this week. Wish me luck.
After that, we went to Metropolis, IL to see the Superman museum. I'm probably one of the biggest Superman dorks you'll find, so it was insanely cool for me. There's a 15 foot Superman statue in the middle of the town along with cardboard cut-outs to stick your head through for pictures. The museum was full of memorabilia, costumes and props from the old TV series and the movies. There was even a section dedicated to The Adventures of Lois and Clark.

That's about all for now. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Made out to my first Indians game of the season last night thanks to my buddyTeeJayZ. We, along with my girlfriend, watched the Indians lose to the Red Sox. Even with the loss, it was still great to get out. Out of all the sporting events I've been to, there's nothing like a baseball game at night. The weather's nice, you're under the lights...there's something magical about it and it doesn't matter how old I get, I'll always feel like a kid when I'm there.

There's not really anything else new to report. I'm a little bummed out by the job hunt, but that's par for the course. It'll come eventually. In the meantime, I've still got STC to keep me busy everyday. TeeJayZ and I have a lot of fun doing the show together and we're working on adding an intern into the mix to help produce. We also have some sponsorships in the works which will (hopefully) bring us some money.

In addition to that, I have a weekly mixed martial arts show in the works along with a couple other projects in the works that will be starting soon as well. At least I'm keeping myself busy until something bigger comes along.
Go Cavs!

Aaaaaaand...I'm back.
Remember me? Someone did. I got hooked up with an anonymous gift in the way of a 3 month membership. I have no idea who did it, but I do want to say thank you. I appreciate it. I missed being at this site.
So...a lot has changed for me since the last time I was here. My mom passed at the end of August and 2 weeks later I caught my girlfriend cheating on me with the downstairs neighbor. I immediately packed my stuff and left, which resulted in me being homeless for a while. Not a very good month for me. lol
I did, however, make it back to broadcasting school and landed the best internship I could have ever possibly hoped for at the biggest rock station in town, WMMS. It's been a dream to work there since I was a kid and the fact that I was there was unbelievable. I had a great experience.
I graduated broadcasting school and am currently on-air 5 days a week at SportsTalkCleveland.com. I co-host a show called Unsportsmanlike Conduct that's on weekday mornings from 9am to 11am EST. It's challenging, but I'm having more fun than I could possibly have imagined.
I'm also in a new relationship with a wonderful girl. She's very good to me and we have a lot of fun together. We just passed the 2 month mark and I have to say that i don't think I've ever been happier.
So..yeah...it's good to be back! I have new pictures up. Check 'em out and leave me some love. I'll make my way to everyone's pages eventually. Man, I have a lot of catching up to do!
To whoever hooked me up with this gift, again, thank you.

Wow...it's been far too long...
The last month or so has been really rough for me. I'm sorry I haven't really been on and I just kinda dropped off the face of the earth. I appreciate everyone who sent me comments and PM's. I didn't mean to worry anybody.
I know I usually come on and talk about my show and what's up with that. I try to keep it light and positive. I hate writing about all the negative shit, but here's where I've been.
My girlfriend and I got booted from where we lived and we were homeless for a while. The guy we were staying with (ran the old radio station I was on) basically used us and turned on us in a bad way and we were given the boot with no real notice. I had a complete nervous breakdown and (rather than off myself) ended up checking myself into a mental crisis shelter for a couple of weeks.
When I got out, things weren't any better. I wasn't feeling better and our situation was pretty grim. We slept in a booth at the restaurant my girlfriend worked at for a short time until a buddy saved the day. We stayed with him for about a week and a half until we were able to secure a place of our own. We moved in this week. It's pretty nice and the rent is pretty reasonable. Hopefully this is the start of our new beginning.
I also got some bad news on Monday. My mother, who has been battling cancer since 2000, is pretty much in her final days. Her body stopped responding to treatments and her organs are shutting down. It's been a pretty emotional week for everyone and even though we've had some serious problems recently, I'm still not ready to let her go.
On a brighter note, my PROJEKT X Show is still going pretty great! We do better and better every week and we're pretty happy with the way it's going. We're still on Thursday nights from 7 to 10pm EDT and if you miss it, no big deal. The shows are archived at the website so you can go back and check them out any time.
Thanks again to everyone who has expressed their concern for me the past few weeks. I appreciate it. I hope everyone is doing well. Please drop me a line and let me know how you all are doing.

Since Jewelz scolded me, here's a new blog...
Actually, nothing new to report. The PROJEKT X Show is still going strong!! In 2 weeks we've had over 4000 hits to our new website, which is definitely a feel good! There's a good buzz about it and we're growing more and more proud of it by the day.
Tonight's show looks to be a good one. We'll have an interview with Five Finger Death Punch tonight along with audio from last weekend's Cleveland 100, which was very lame. We're also starting some really cool contests and there will be prizes involved!! The show is live tonight at 7pm EDT at Morning Show Central so check it out and send me some love.
Hope everybody is doing well! Have a great weekend!!

So this week is kind of a good news/bad news thing. The bad news is that my show had a bit of a falling out with it's old station, so we are no longer at NRR. It's disappointing but it's for the best, I suppose.
Good news is...well...lots of good news! The new PROJEKT X Show website is up and running. We go live every Thursday night from 7 to 10pm EDT at Morning Show Central with both an audio AND a video feed. Afterwards, all of our shows will be archived for download at the new PROJEKT X site and they'll be streaming there 24/7 as well. So, if you missed us, fear not! Just hit the website up anytime and catch us there!!
Last weekend was a pretty interesting one. Samantha and I went off to Columbus for the weekend to visit our friend Ed and his girlfriend Colleen. Now...Ed is a HUGE Rocky Horror Picture Show fan and he's part of a group called The Fishnet Mafia. TFM gets together once or twice a month at a little old theater in Columbus and they do a shadowcasting of RHPS. They get dressed up in the costumes and act out the movie while it's playing behind them and the audience yells crap at them, makes fun of the movie, and throws things (toast, toilet paper, playing cards...all depending on what the scene calls for). It's a ton of fun and I had never been to one of these before, so I was a "virgin". It pretty much means I got embarrassed in front of everyone before the show. Well...not really, but I did have to do the Time Warp in my underwear.
I suppose it could've been worse, right? Either way, it was a lot of fun. The cast was cool and it was definitely an interesting experience.
I also saw Iron Man over the weekend and it wasn't disappointing. It was great movie and I'm pretty stoked for all the other Superhero movies to come out this year, particularly The Dark Knight!!
Here are some pics from the weekend!! Hope everyone has a good week!!
Here I am with the lovely Samantha before the show. Notice the "V" on our foreheads denoting that we were "virgins"

My buddy Ed (who played the part of Riff Raff) along with his girlfriend Colleen.

Why is it that my girlfriend gets to make out with a hot chick and I have to dance in my underwear? Not fair...

Alright...I wasn't going to post this, but my girlfriend is making me. This is not for the faint of heart. Here I am in my undies.
I was more uncomfortable than you can possibly imagine.

Okay!! A new blog!! Sorry it took so long, but it's been a crazy week for me.
Here are the important details:
The PROJEKT X show this past Monday was a smash hit. A lot of people emailed us and told us it was our best show yet. We set another new listenership record for the station and we were pretty excited about that!
PROJEKT X is absolutely taking off!! We have a new website that is currently under construction. We're bridging over to a new station starting May 1st so now you'll get twice the pX goodness! We'll still be at Nytes Realm Radio every Monday night from 7 to 10pm EDT, but we'll also be on Morning Show Central every Thursday from 7 to 10pm as well. This new station is the largest internet radio station in Cleveland with listenership of almost 100K people. This is HUGE for us.
In addition, we struck a deal with The Legendary Peabody's Concert Club in Cleveland to be their official radio show. We get no money out of them sponsoring us, but we will get all access to the shows, we can broadcast live, and we'll have our logo in their ad with the local free newspaper Scene Magazine. The foot traffic that comes in there and the exposure we'd get would be incredible!!
Speaking of Scene Magazine, we met the Night/Day editor at an NRR promotions event recently and there's interest in doing a story on us for the paper. We haven't heard much since the initial meeting, but the original plan was to be in the May 28th issue (just in time for my birthday
). It'd be nice for it to happen, but I won't hold my breath.
We also had two of our loyal listeners start-up a street team dedicated to spreading the word about our show. How weird is that? I have a street team.
I know it probably gets old hearing me go on and on every week about the radio show, but it's really all I have going on. All of my time and energy lately goes into the show. It's kinda kept me away from responding and writing much here. I know...I suck!! Sorry!
I hope everyone has been doing okay. Drop me a line and let me know all is well with you! Have a great weekend!!

FINALLY!! A new blog.
The past week or so has been a great week for the radio station and for the PROJEKT X show.
Starting last week, we had quite the adventure at the Mushroomhead show. Otter (my co-host) got tossed shortly after we walked in for being a drunken idiot. He then proceeded to call Waylon (singer of Mushroomhead) a total of 16 times trying to get back in. When I finally met up with Waylon, I apologized profusely. He assured me everything was cool and told me to meet up with him after the show.
After sneaking Otter back into the venue, we enjoyed a pretty amazing Shroom performance and ended up having a great interview with Waylon. After the tour, we'll actually have him in the studio so it should be pretty good stuff!
The ZO2 show last night went waaaaay better!! It was my first face to face interview, and the boys from Brooklyn were very cool and very accomodating. Their show ended up being one of the best shows I've seen in recent memory. We'll have them on again in June and then again before their reality show launches this fall. If you haven't checked them out, do it!
Lastly, some exciting PROJEKT X news. We're actually going to be starting on a new internet station very soon that will put our audience into the tens of thousands. The best part is, we'll keep the show on BOTH stations, so we'll be on twice a week and the exposure will be incredible!! I'll keep you posted on when and where we start as soon as the details are finished up.
Thank you to everyone who has listened and sent me all of the kind words. I appreciate it more than you know and I'm glad to be able to share the realization of my dreams with you all!!
I'll leave you with some pics. Enjoy!!!
