Well I made it back from Hawaii and still a little jet lagged 5 days later. Oh well it was worth it.
Here are some of the photos that were taken on the trip. ENJOY!

Well my pretties I wanted to say have an awesome rest of the summer. I am off for vacation starting August 7th for 2 weeks in Hawaii. I cannot wait. I need some time to get away from the nonsense of life. I have friends and family watching the cats and dog so we're not worried about them while we're gone.
I intend to get a lot of reading done and relax a whole hell of a lot on the beaches. I know we have a luau planned one night in Maui. I don't have much else to say except have a great couple of weeks and talk to you when I get back later this month.

Been awhile since my last post... I hope all my friends are doing well. I was away for most of last week. I spent part of the week in Atlantic City for a convention which was productive and then went to Baltimore to meet some of my fiancee's relatives. We had a blast down there. The weather was perfect and we had a great dinner at her cousin's restaurant Captain James Landing. It was first rate and I am not just saying it. If you love crab cakes get your butt down there asap.
I finally ordered The Spirit this weekend. I know a lot of people didn't like it (for whatever reason). I really loved seeing it back in January and I am glad to finally see it again on DVD.
Not much new going on - weather this past weekend was excellent but today it's awful - cold and rainy. Work is work and nothing new to report on there either....
have a great day everyone
Love,
B

Less than 4 days to the movie that I've been waiting a long time for...
WATCHMEN! I cannot wait to see it. I love Alan Moore's work. It is the best comic series I've read.
I just ordered this in anticipation of the movie:

trailers for it look great - some trailers are better than others
the best being this one from Japan no less....
so get out this weekend and see it!

Well this week work wise has been better than recent ones. Thankfully it was not completely mind numbingly boring. Then again I am glad to have a job in this economy... hopefully for a while too.
Tonight we are going to see Chandni Chowk to China which if you have not heard is a Bollywood movie filmed in China and stars one of my favorite Shaw Brother actors Gordon Liu.... let's hope it's entertaining.
I am taking Monday off as my fiancee has off too so we can hang out that day. We have to finish taking down the Christmas decorations this weekend and I have a funeral to attend to on Monday (probably go to one of the viewings as well on Sunday).
Hope everyone has a great weekend and talk to you all soon.

Well I think I finally got over this stupid cold - still have some coughing and the sinus pressure has gone down to almost zero (I hate sinus pressure might as get a real vice and put my head in it). We had some friends over Friday and my awesome fiance made chicken parm and after dinner we watched 300 (no one had seen it but me and that was back in the theater). It was a solid movie to watch - glad I got a chance to see it before heading to the movies the next day to see... The Spirit. Ok if you have done nothing but read negative reviews about this movie you need to put cotton in your ears and run to the theater to see this one. I absolutely loved this movie. Frank Miller does a bang up job with some great actors and awesome Sin City styled FX. Having Sam Jackson play the villainous Octopus with all the trappings of 1940's pulp comics and several gorgeous women - Eva Mendez, Jamie King, Scarlett Johansson, Sarah Paulson, and Paz Vega - make this one of my recent favorites. Not that this takes anything away from the movie but seeing him dressed in full SS Nazi regalia was a site to see (had me cracking up).
See it you won't be sorry...

OK where to start... So this weekend was a blast but last night I felt run down and crappy. I either caught something over the Christmas weekend or I am just run down. Then on top that while feeling semi-crappy (I slept well last night) I get a knock on the door. There was a gas leak in our complex. They wanted everyone out and move away from the townhouses. So I grab the dog and put her in my car. Then I had the pleasure of getting all three cats out and into their carriers. My little Saffie was easy to get as she's pretty mellow and hangs out on the stairs. But the other two monsters took me a while. Thankfully I got them all out and into the car. I then took the dog and walked over to where it was "safe". I was not all that happy still being sick and all. So after about an hour of waiting around for the gas company to show (they did their work quickly thankfully). We found out a contractor had busted either a valve or seal in a gas line outside... bunch of friggin morons. So that was my day so far. I am going to lie on the couch with some tea and the dog and watch a movie or something - possibly Dawn of the Dead....
On an aside I started to read World War Z and it's excellent. I love apocalyptic stuff and this is right up my alley.
Talk to you all soon and hopefully I'll be well enough to enjoy New Years (staying in this year)
