I need a little bit of help making a decision.
Obviously, I love tattoos. I can't wait to get a ton, but I have a few in mind to get very soon. So, the pic below is one that I want to get. It's a stained glass rose from the beginning of Beauty and the Beast. It's one of my favourite movies and favourite fairy tale. I had wanted to get the rose in the glass container, but I saw this on the metal case for the diamond edition I got for XMas and thought it looked really nice. I'm actually thinking I may get both cuz one is more recognized and the other could be from anywhere. So, I've pretty much decided that I want to get it either on the back of my right calf or the inside of my left upper arm. My only issue with the arm is that I think I'd kinda prefer something that's more wide than tall to go there and the rose is more tall than wide. So, ya, I'm leaning more towards the back of the calf. Any thoughts in general or other location suggestions? Would be greatly appreciated. :]

(sorry, it's a little blurry, lol)
Also, I've now lost 11lbs to date. Gotta step it up to make sure I keep losing.

Feeling good today. :]
So, upon weighing myself after work on Saturday, I was still down 8lbs, but I was gonn abe going out with a friend to hang out and grab some food and, to be honest, I would have kinda prefer to do 30 mins on the treadmill and just have water for the rest of the night. But we ended up just going to a 24 super market and I was able to pick up some fruits and a salad, so that was fine.
On Sunday(yesterday), we got up around 1pm-ish (I stayed over, btw.. and my friend is a guy, lol) and just watched TV, played around on our laptops and fooled around when the mood struck us.
I also just had a handful of strawberries and some yogurt for the first few hours and then aroung 7pm we went out to watch Beastly. I have to say, I read and liked the book and was really looking forward to the movie, but it was kinda disappointing and wasn't close enough to the book for my taste. *le sigh* Anyway, afterwards, we went to a Boston Pizza for dinner. We ordered garlic twist bread with cheese as an appetizer, and I have to say, I think I finally see what people mean about actually "treating" themselves after they've been eating well for a while. Cuz that bread was soooo good. I haven't had much bread or carbs lately, so to have that was actually a treat, and cuz I hadn't eaten much that day, I didn't feel bad about having it. I had some more friut and half of a cinnamon bun when we got back to his place, so I wasn't sure if that would mess up my progress thus far, but it did not. hehe
I had to walk home this morning cuz my friend decided to walk to a nearby train station to get to work today as opposed to driving to one like 10 mins south of us. So, when I got home, I weighed myself expecting to be up a pound, but I had actually lost one. So, I decided to try to get a little more sleep and see if I could drop a little more. I ended up sleeping til like 2:30pm (my bad, lol), but was down that one more pound I wanted. Bringing my total lost to 10lbs.
So, today, I just had a decent breakfast, did 30 mins on the treadmill, I'm gonna have a salad and fruit later and then going downtown for karaoke tonight. And I may "treat" myself by putting Crystal Light in my water tonight. lol. Either way, I'm feeling good and I'm so happy to have broken through my plateau. I'm just gonna be taking it one pound at a time, but my next goal is to lose 8 more lbs to get me into the next lowest weigh category by tens (ex, 150's, 170's, 190's, etc). Wish me luck. :]

I'm down another pound from my original, bringing my total of pounds lost to 8. I'm now at the weight that I was the last time I actively tried to lose and then plateaued at. So, I just gotta push through and make sure that I keep losing. I have to walk 30 mins to work, then be there and on my feet for 8 hours. Gonna do about 30 mins on the treadmill when I get home and just gotta watch what I eat today and drink plenty of water. Wish me luck. :]
Also, I got another concert ticket in the mail, bringing my total up to 5. 5 concerts in the next 2 months. I feel like a teenager again.

Oh, and I am now completely debt free (for the time being, lol). So far so good today. :]

So, yesterday morning I weighed myself and was expecting to be up a pound or whatever cuz I didn't eat too well the day before, but to my surprise, I was actually down a pound. So, that would bring my total weight loss from my "original" weight to 7lbs and I don't think I've been that weight for several months, if not longer. However, when I weighed myself this morning, I had put that pound back on. I probably could have made better food choices yesterday, but I also did about 30 mins of walking/jogging on the treadmill and the 6 minute Shake Weight work out. So, I'm very much hoping some of that weight is muscle or something. lol.
I did another 30 mins of the treadmill this morning and I plan to do 30-45 mins in the evening since I have the day off and don't have anything to do today. I have a salad all lined up for lunch or dinner and a few types of fruit and veggie options for snacks. No carbs today. Hopefully I can lose that pound again, or maybe even one more, if the Gods are on my side. lol
On another note, I've gone a whole month without any pop and I think this may be the longest I've gone along with the trying to eat right and stuff. I mean, I still have my off days, but I'm a lot more consious about what I'm putting into my body and trying to make good choices whenever I can. I'm also doing my best not to get discouraged when I stay the same or even put on a pound. Anyway, I really do hope I can keep this up for a while. I've had next to no "digestive issues" in a couple weeks and that in itself is almost enough to continue this. I hate feeling like shit. No puns. lol
Also, I know that chinese take out can have a lot of fat and whatever, but if you take all the beef and broccoli from various dishes and rinse it off before you eat it, does that get rid of some of the bad calories or is all the fat and sodium kinda cooked in? Just a thought...

I'm feeling pretty good. Not emotionally though, as anyone who read my last post would know, physically. (Did that sentence make sense? lol) When I went to Florida, I wanted to make sure to eat well, partly cuz it's just healthy to do so and partly cuz I'm seriously overweight. For the entire time I was away, I tried to cut back on carbs and not drink pop. Well, the not drinking pop has continued since I got home and I can say that I have, at the very least, not had any pop for the whole month of February up to this point. And it looks like I'll be keeping that up. I'll be honest, I've missed the taste a couple times and a glass of pop goes a lot better with pizza than water, but I feel good knowing that I'm making some positive changes.
Anyway, I'm now trying to eat better. Again, trying to stay away from carbs, and upping my fruits and veggies. For dinner tonight, I had carrots and celery sticks and an egg sunny side up with extra egg whites. I'll be honest, I'm still kinda hungry, so I think I'll make a shake that's just a banana, milk and maybe some honey, just for a little extra sweetness.
I weighed myself before I left for Florida and when I weighed myself the day we got back (in the afternoon) I was up 5lbs, but as of this morning, I was down 4lbs from the pre-Florida weight. I'm hoping to be down one my pound tomorrow. It would probably help if I did some walking or jogging on my treadmill, but I'm just not feeling it tonight. I much prefer to sleep my weight off anyway.
So, that's all I have to say for now. Sorry if that was a little random, but my thoughts aren't always neat and organized. lol

Why is it that sometimes we do things that will probably cause someone else to be mad with us and don't do anything to try and fix it until it's too late? We had the gut feeling, logic said it wasn't a good idea and yet we still let things take their course. And then we sit around for hours, beating ourselves up about it. Sometimes, I just don't understand.
Florida Vacation - Day 15
Well, it's 11:45 am on February 5th. I'm blogging from the car right now, cuz I didn't blog last night cuz I was pretty tired and the net at the hotel crapped out on me.
Nothing too eventful has gone on, thankfully. There was a lot of rain when we were driving through Northern Georgia and part of Tennessee. And a lot of cop cars either at accident scenes or with people pulled over. I spent most of the day distracting myself with movies. I watched Cherrybomb and Wild Target, both of which I downloaded specifically cuz Rupert Grint is in them. *drools* And I also downloaded the mosr recent Jersey Shore and watched that and then there was gonna be another hour or so until we got to the hotel for the night, so I watched Saw 6. And I have to admit, I almost thought I was gonna throw up or pass out during the opening "game". loln
Anyway, we just stopped for a bathroom and coffee break and then we'll be stopping for lunch in a little while. Oh, and we saw a pretty good sized rainbow. I took some pix of it, but we'll see how well they turn out. So, since there's not much else to do or talk about, I thought I'd share some things that this vacation has taught (or re-taught) me...
- Lists are a wonderful thing and really help you keep track of all your stuff so you don't forget anything.
- Even if you only plan on being in the sun for a little bit, either put on a bikini or a high SPF sunblock cuz trying to fill in all the spots that aren't dark enough is a pain in the ass and time consuming.
- Bring moisturizer with aloe to help soothe the inevitable sunburn and help prevent peeling.
- Pack only what you really really need/will wear. You'll probably end up buying a few pieces of clothing while you're there and you'll only wear half of what you brought.
- Non-perishable snacks, like cups of applesauce and granola bars, are great for in the car.
- Always bring pain medication. It's great for cramps, headaches AND makes wearing a bra after getting a sunburn so much more comfortable. lol
- Check flyers for local Targets and Wal-Marts online before you leave. Based on exchange rates and tax percentages, it may actually be cheaper to buy things like shampoo and deodorant there instead of before you leave.
- Stick to small healthy meals (if you can). Nothing is worse than having digestive issues all through your vacation.
- Water. Drink plenty of water.
- Always make sure your camera is full charged and at the ready for whatever you may want to snap a shot of.
- When given the option, do something out of the ordinary or something you couldn't do at home. Go on crazy, scary rides or take pix with characters or people, even if you're not a fan. It's just fun and it's better to regret something you did and have the memory than to not have done anything at all.
- You're never too old to be in awe of theme parks and fireworks.

Florida Vacation - Day 13
Last Day!
Well, this is probably gonna be another short post cuz I'm tired and my back hurts. lol. So, last minute we decided to go to Universal; just my mom, dad and me. My mom and I went on The Hulk and she liked it so much that went on it again after she'd convinced my dad to go. After that, we just walked all the way around the back and headed back out.
We came back to the hotel to get my sister and then we went to this Chinese buffet pretty close to us. When we were done, we dropped my mom at the hotel and went to a Hot Topic in this really run down mall. They had a bunch of shirts and jewelry on sale. I only spent $31.90, but if everything that I bought had been full price, I would've had to pay like $127-ish. Yay clearance! lol. We stopped by Downtown Disney cuz I had wanted to get some outdoor shots, but by the time we got there, it was dark. So, we just checked out a few stores and came home.
I've been packing ever since and I just finished not too long ago. Hopefully we'll be getting out of here pretty early in the morning. I don't know if I'll be doing too much blogging after this. Or, at least I dunno if they'll be very long. It's gonna be a relatively dull couple days. It'll probably give me enough time to finish up another book (my 3rd so far for this trip). I'm also slightly worried about all the snow people say has fallen or will be falling soon, but we probably won't be dealing with that too much until Saturday. Anyway, off to bed for me, and to anyone who has my cell number, feel free to say Hi or whatever cuz I still have 400+ texts I can use while I'm in the States. :]

Florida Vacation - Day 12
Our vacation is almost over.
Today, my sister got her wish and my parents and I went to Universal without her. And we actually got to the park so early that we had to wait for some stuff to open; like rides and various shops. I had my pic taken with Fiona, Shrek and Doc Brown from Back To The Future. And then we caught a Blues Brothers show at 11am, took some pix with these Egyptian type characters, went on Terminator 2 3D and then caught the Beetlejuice Revue show again. This time, we were able to stay back and I got my pic taken with the monsters and Beetlejuice and his cheerleaders. Not that long after, we found out that the Jaws ride still wasn't working, but I wasn't too upset about that. lol. We looked around the MIB gift shop, but didn't go on that ride. We had lunch at this 50's style diner near the front and then my mom decided to go on the Simpsons ride again, so my dad and I went to check out this Horror Movie Make Up shows. It was pretty interesting and really funny. Once we all met up again, we slowly made our way to the park exit and headed over to the other park, so I could ride Flight of the Hippogriff and see the HP attraction one more time. But on our way over, we got slightly distracted by this little bar in the City Walk area having a happy hour, so we call stopped for a drink. Once we got into Islands of Adventure, I made a beeline for Harry Potter, rode the ride (which is basically a kid's roller coaster, but I got to take a picture of Buckbeak :] ) and was able to sit for a few minutes, take in all the scenery and just get goosebumps like crazy while listening to the soundtrack that was being played all over the park.
We finally made our way back to the car, but I night was not done then. My sister had wanted to go to a Hot Topic or 2, so we googled a few addresses and headed out, leaving my mom to go for a late night swim since the weather was like 26 degrees at 7pm. lol. We went to the first one and I only picked up a few buttons and a ring and by the time we got to the next, there was only gonna be like 5 minutes to actually look around before they needed to clsoe, so I chose to stay in the car and read instead of being a bother to the employees. We were all pretty hungry by this time, so we went to a Wild Wings that's right by our hotel room. When we were finished, we simply came back her and that brings me to now.
I'm not too sure what's gonna be happening tomorrow. For sure, I have to pack and have a shower at night. My mom is thinking about going back to Universal for half a day and I may join her. I'd also like to hit up Downtown Disney again, but other than that, there's not much else I'd like to do. So, I'll see how our last full day in Florida goes. :]

Florida Vacation - Day 11
So, today was a half lazy/half do stuff day.
We started the day by lounging around the pool for a few hours. My sister had been saying since before we left that she wanted to go on a "Bungee Ball of Death". For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's basically this 2 seater ride that shots you about 400 ft up and then you just kinda bounce around for a bit until they bring you down. I said I'd go and was kind of interested to see what it's like, but I was getting kinda nervous everytime it was brought up. So, I told myself to just relax and it would be over soon and I'd be mad with myself if I didn't do it. Anyway, we went in the afternoon and I got real nervous as I was getting strapped in, but once we were shot up, it was pretty great. I got a really great view of the skyline and cuz I couldn't look straight down, I wasn't worried about the height or anything. We were actually told we could go up again for another $10 each, so that's just what we did. :]
On our way back to the hotel to get ready for tonight, we stopped at a really big McD's with all kinds of gourmet food and stuff. Once we were back at the hotel, everyone took turns taking showers and getting ready. Once were got to the Polynesian Resort, we had to wait a bit for my aunt, uncle, cousin and his gf to show up. Once we were seated, the wait staff just started bringing out a bunch of sides and various BBQ meats, so we were well fed tonight. lol. While we were eating though, we could see the firework display going on at The Magic Kingdom. They were also playing the accompanying soundtrack throughout the restaurant. And I'll be honest, I was getting some major goosebumps and got slightly emotional. I feel a little sad that we won't be getting to Disney during this vacation, but there's always next time. And I can't wait til I eventually get to bring my kids there one day. :]
It's supposed to rain tomorrow in the afternoon, so we're gonna go to Universal just to finish up the portion of Studios that we didn't get to see and then go back to whatever rides we liked before the weather gets too bad. I can totally see myself just sitting around at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and taking it all in before we have to head home.
