Been feeling kinda blah lately.

I haven't really been keeping up on my diet and exercise. I've been fluctuating for a bit, but I haven't gone back over 200lbs (which I have promised myself I will never let happen again, unless I'm pregnant, lol). It just feels like I have next to no will power at the moment. I eat what I want, when I want and as much as I want. I mean, I'm not being a total glutton, but I should know better. I do know better, but I've just been giving myself a free pass cuz of how restrictive I was just before Halloween. However, I should be back on track by now, but I'm not.

I've had some thoughts about the whole situation though. Like, I haven't had pop since February of this year and have been able to stick with it, but why can't I do the same thing with chocolate and junk food and stuff like that? Why am I so lazy that I can't even use my Shake Weight for the recommended 6 minutes a day or do sit ups during commercials when I'm watching TV?

We're going to Florida again in January of next year, so that's gonna be my motivation this time. I'd like to be down a full 50lbs from what I was the last time we left. I know it's gonna be hard, but I'm determined. And the fact that I was able to fit into my Baby Doll costume for Halloween makes me feel like it's actually do-able.

So, I'm really gonna have to get my shit together real soon and hopefully I'll have a better post next time. : )

Also, here's a close up of me dressed as Baby Doll from Sucker Punch.

I also took a pic of myself wearing my costume from last year as a comparison of what I was then and what I am now. At this point, my goal is to be down a full 50lbs from what I was when I went to Florida earlier this year by the time I go again early next year. (Did that sentence make sense? It's pretty late as I'm typing this and I'm not sure if my grammar is up to par, lol)

(Written on October 30th)

Well, we had quite a trip to Massachusetts.

We left later than we would have liked on Thursday morning, but nothing new there. I picked up a really pretty shirt that says "I Love Canada" at the Duty Free in Niagara and then we crossed over into NY. It was kinda drizzle-y for most of the day, but got a lot more into proper rain as it got darker. We stopped for a late lunch at Cracker Barrel and I picked up some cute Halloween themed hair bows. The weather really got bad when we were coming up to the NY/MA border. It actually started snowing. Like, not too bad, but we don\'t have snow tires on the car yet, so we had to be careful. And, of course, whenever there's severe weather no one expects, people lose their minds and end up in ditches and spinning out. Nothing happened to us, thank God, but after our accident on the way to Florida earlier this year, I was understandably worried about some kind of repeat. We made it to the hotel in one piece though.

On our first full day, we headed straight into Boston (we were staying in Westford, MA) cuz we had whale watching planned for noon. We boat ride out was pretty good. There were like 25 or 30 young teens on some kind of school trip, as well as just some regular tourists and several families from across the pond. And, after a while, some people were succumbing to sea sickness. One woman was nice enough to throw up in the trash can right behind our table, but luckily the smell never wafted over. lol. We finally got to the watch spot and had a few sittings pretty far out. Just blowhole exhalations and maybe a couple backs and tales, but we were able to finally get up close to a couple. The closer one, named Geometry, was probably about 10 feet from us on his closest surfacing. Before long, it was time to head back and we were all thoroughly cold and hungry. We went for dinner at the No Name Restaurant, a seafood place my dad used to frequent when he drove a tour bus back in the day. And after that, we just did some walking around Quincy Market. They had a bunch of interesting food stands and stores and stuff. Even this one shop that looked small on the outside but, once you went to it's upper level, it had an entire room of CDs, one for movies, one for comics. It was pretty awesome. I could have dropped some serious cash there, but I was able to hold back. lol. I did pick up a few things from this cart selling music themed stuff, including a shirt saying "Here comes treble". hehe

The next day, we took a walk around Cambridge, including the Harvard campus. I wish I had watched Legally Blonde just before we left, cuz nothing looked really familiar. lol. From there, we drove through Boston, but didn't get out or walk anywhere cuz it was raining pretty heavily. We just drove by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a couple other "must sees" and then kept driving on into Salem. It was still raining heavy and the parking situation was retarded, but we finally found a spot and made our way to the shops. It was awesome. So many creepy and witch-y and spiritual and wiccan-y things to buy, and pretty decently priced. At this point, if someone had a gun to my head and said I had to pick one place to live in the US, I would pick Salem, MA. If anyone reading this loves Halloween, I would highly recommend a trip there. They take it all pretty seriously and pretty much the entire month of October is dedicated to it. We ate at this cute little place called the Witch Brew Cafe and I really wish I didn't have a stuffed nose so I could taste the food better, but my burps for the next several hours tasted like garlic, so that's good. haha. We did a bit more shopping and I ended up with 3 hoodies, 2 shirts and 3 necklaces. And on our way back to the hotel, we made a couple quick stops at a Target and Wal-Mart. However, it started snowing while we were in the Wal-Mart and we had another nerve-racking and slow paced drive back to the hotel. And when we took our exit, the traffic lights we out. All the restaurants along the way had no power, but our hotel still seemed to be ok. That didn't last long though. Our power went out a bit after midnight, so we all went to bed (after I read several pages of Snooki's new book by the light of glow stick, lol).

We all got up this morning around 7. I had done pretty much all my packing the night before, so after cleaning up, I went downstairs to assess the situation. The power was still out and the emergency generator didn't cover the elevators and, of course, we were on the top (4th) floor. I walked down the stairs and was able to bring one of the luggage trolleys over to the nearest staircase and started making trips up and down to load it up. I was very eager to get on the road. Also, they had glow sticks lining the hallways and stairwells, like as if Hansel and Gretel were ravers. lol. It probably took me about 7 or so trips, but I had wanted to get a quick workout in the morning, so I guess ask and yee shall receive. We're now on the road. I think we just past into NY not too long ago and we're about to stop for lunch. Hopefully nothing too eventful happens. I wouldn't mind a nap though, cuz as soon as we're through the door at home, I need to get started on my pumpkins and decorate as much as I can.

So, I'm really glad we took this trip and I would take it again in a heart beat, but nicer weather would be much appreciated. smile

Aw Yeah! I did it again!

As of this morning, I'm down to 192lbs. biggrin

I've just been putting my nose to the grindstone; walking every day, eating lots of fruits and veggies and doing a bunch of sit ups. lol

I think my next goal will be to get into the 180's. It's been so long since I've seen numbers that low, but I feel like it's really possible now.

Here's hoping. smile

So, it looks like it's time for me to refocus (again, lol).

I haven't been eating very well in the last little while and my scale is showing it. I've probably put on about 6-ish lbs in the last few weeks. Also, I ordered a halloween costume from this website and it came earlier this week and when I tried it on, the skirt portion of it was pretty tight and the shirt wouldn't even go on. I ordered the largest size the costume (Baby Doll from Suckerpunch) they had and I figured I'd have to drop some more weight for it to look good, but I didn't know it would be that bad.

So, today, I walked to 2 different grocery stores that are about 25 mins from me to pick up some fruits and veggies and a bit of meat. When I got home, I cleaned up the strawberries, grapes and other stuff I'd bought and then tried my hand at making some homemade meatballs. I looked up a couple recipes online, but I decided to kinda wing it and they held together, but they don't have much flavour. So, I'll just consider that a learning experience and find some other way to flavour them up and eat them. lol

As for other stuff that's going on with me...
- I got long, blonde extensions put in earlier this month. They're kind of a pain in the butt to take care or at time, but they look hot. lol
- I have several concerts coming up between now and XMas. I'm excited! :]
- I bought my parents a BDays/XMas gift: a 55' LCD flat screen TV for just $930 after taxes. Now, I just need to figure out when and how I want to present it to them. haha
- I may be going to Boston at the end of October for my Dad's BDay

That's about it for now. I'll leave you with a couple pix of my extensions and hopefully I'll have some progress to report soon. :]
