That's right folks, I'm single. My partner of almost four years and I broke up. It was completely mutual. We're still best friends. We still live together. We just weren't happy relationship wise and decided it would be better this way. I've been having a little bit of a hard time dealing with it, but I'm getting there, after all it's only been a couple of weeks. So far it hasn't been awkward at all, just a little sad because we both do love each other but we just couldn't make it work, we tried. I think it's for the best though, it's better this way. We're both happy with the decision we made.
Fun Fact: We were engaged on the 1/1/11 at 11:11am and we broke up on the day we had been engaged for 11 months. Oddly enough. I think it's kind of symbolically poetic. But I am a hopeless romantic after all.
Anyhoo, I'll update properly in the coming weeks when I have more time, I'm super busy with work at the moment! Such is the life of a retail store manager this close to Christmas!

Hope things don't end up awkward for you guys, I know sometimes at first people are civil and then shit can get ugly!!! But it sounds like you guys are handling things just fine
