It's been awhile. Life has been good lately, though it generally is most of the time. I got a job offer at the beginning of Fall, and though I make little more than minimum wage I do notice the extra income. I'm not really big on cleaning, and my job has impacted that I little negatively. My kitchen always seems to be recovering from some big event (Thanksgiving, a baby shower), which means I haven't been making as many homemade meals. That does bother me a bit because I do like having time to do things that I like to do, and I don't have as much time for that anymore.

Anybody celebrating Christmas? I am, although I will say my husband and I are celebrating a strictly secular holiday. We aren't religous as all, but I have always enjoyed Christmas. I made a couple stockings with this things called a Knifty Knitter, and I'm convinced that it's magic. Despite my best efforts I cannot knit with needles. But as long as I have my Knifty Knitter, I'll be content to stick with hooking A little crochet joke there for ya.

Well anyway, someday I'll get the hang of this. I would actually like to be apart of the community aspect of the site, but I really am finding that I'm just as timid behind a computer as I am in real life, so it's been a little hard to open up. But no one is going to do that for me. If I want to me more apart of the site, I'm just going to have to be more open. So, let's be friends?

Still having a hard time blogging regularly on here, so how about three fun facts about myself:

1. My favorite types of food are Thai and Greek, but my one favorite specific food is a burrito.

2. I've lived many places, but I love the lifestyle in the southeast USA better than anywhere else so far. Life is simple, family-oriented, mellow, and the people seem more real there.

3. If money were unlimited, I don't think that I would ever stop seeking college degrees. I love learning and there are many things that I would love to be an "expert" in.

So still nothing too personal. Maybe I'll do fun facts for a bit until I find something to say on here and someone to say it to.

Okay, they say third time is the charm so maybe I will not end up deleting this blog. I'd been thinking about getting more active on the site the past few weeks, so I started commenting on sets here and there the past few weeks and to my surprise got a couple comments back. I figured I would try to pick up blogging as a way to be more open on the site. I actually blog pretty consistently elsewhere, but I'm not sure I want to reveal all of that just yet. Maybe sometime though. I guess I'll do an itty-bitty about me:

I am living in Europe, but I'm American.

I'm happily married with no children or plans for any at this time.

I could say that originally I'm from Texas, but truthfully I've lived in a few different states and countries.

I really like music, painting, drawing, traveling, and cooking.

I'm trying to be less socially akward on the internet and in real life.

I suppose that is good enough for today.
