#coolstuff, the movie we made last summer for a contest is in the top five ! We won ! And it was not a bullshit contest where audience can vote and create numerous fake accounts to let their aunt win and shit, it was a real jury etc. People who kinda know shit.

It's been a while I haven't spoke with you SG but I've been busy since 07/18. Busy going to vacation again, coming back, going to vacation again, writing for my other real life blog where the articles are so loooooong I guess I should give medals to people succeeding in finishing them up, if you want to read it go there, looking for a cool job but couldn't finding one meh, working on the infamous webseries (you will see it soon I think, maybe before the end of the year, don't sweat it, it will come fast, we're already in october even if it looks like summer !).
I think I'm just gonna tell you about random and various things that caught my interests lately.
First, the retirement thing going on in France... Fuck it, I'll never be able to retire so...
DEATH IS SILENT by Kno is like one of the best albums ever. It's the first solo album by Kno, producer and mastermind of CunninLynguists who besides having a funny name made four years ago one of the most praised and acclaimed albums ever : A Piece Of Strange.
Death Is Silent is like the former. It's highly conceptual. It's about death and every song is a variation about it. It's never boring, it's always eerie, sad, gloomy or suddenly upbeat. Lyrics are always on point, it's crazy. Seriously, you should give it a listen even if you don't like rap, listen to it if you like music.
Here is a song I really like just because of this strange sample at the beginning and the way it becomes the actual song.
Every song is worth listening so if you want to know more, go on youtube they put everyone of them up on it.
Bookswise, I read Ulysses by James Joyce in three weeks. It's one of the craziest/best books I've ever read. 1.200 pages later, I wasn't disappointed. I also read in twenty minutes the Kanye West book called Through The Wire where he briefly explains some of his songs and it's greatly illustrated by Bill Plympton. Book was really expensive when it first came out, it was like 22$ but I found it on amazon for 4$ so it's all good.

Oh, I've been to London with my younger sister. It was really cool. Fell in love with various girls every ten minutes. She was supposed to find a job and a place to live there and I was to help her do that but we found a job rather quickly (1 and half day after arrival), she found on the Internet a very good school to teach her to be a flight attendant/stewardess so she came back to France with me and will soon start that.
Breakfast was nasty.

This was at the premiere last Sunday : Aaron Sorkin, Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, David Fincher and a useless French TV/Movies specialist are on stage
Social Network is really really really good. Let Me In is also one of my favorites movies of this year, I haven't seen Morse and don't care about the whole "ewwww it's a remake"-thing etc : movie was more than good so who cares ? Takers, Buried and The Other Guys are also really cool. You should see that stuff
I've also been told that I look like Ben Affleck and Clea Duvall (same eyes apparently). The Ben Affleck thing might end the curse I had : dreaming of him regularly and shit. I was in a corridor and Affleck was there eating chips etc...

In 48 hours, I'll be on the plane to Los Angeles for two weeks. We are going to rent a car etc... It MUST be a cool trip.

En fait je dois avoir pas décoché le truc "renouvellement automatique" donc je risquais pas de voir mon compte mourir. Fausse alerte.
Vacances d'été ? De la longue escapade à New York annulée car en fait le pote qui louait un appart c'était une arnaque il a perdu 3.000 euros comme ça et il est parti se réfugier à Los Angeles chez une pote à lui tout en faisant croire à sa mère qu'il est toujours à New York parce qu'il a honte d'avouer qu'il a perdu 3.000 euros d'un coup.
On était donc deux sur le carreau, on s'est dits qu'on allait louer un appart à New York mais on a jamais eu de réponse de notre contact. Après j'ai proposé une semaine à Las Vegas mais ça disait rien à l'autre alors on va rejoindre le premier à Los Angeles pour une semaine ou deux.
J'ai appris en début de semaine que un de mes meilleurs profs de la fac était mort. C'était mon prof de scénar, il m'avait appris plein de trucs cools auxquels penser quand on écrit un scénar et dont je me sers souvent. Apprendre à se poser les bonnes questions. Bon la partie moins cool c'est que l'an dernier je pensais à aller le voir pour lui faire lire mes scénars et tout vu qu'il se marrait comme un petit bossu en cours quand je lisais ce que j'avais écrit d'une semaine sur l'autre. Mais je l'ai pas fait et maintenant c'est trop tard. Morale de l'histoire ? Quand on veut faire quelque chose, il faut le faire.
Je joue le malin en disant ça mais j'ai vu aujourd'hui ce qui est une des plus belles filles que j'ai jamais vue de ma life. Selon mes goûts très personnels attention donc borgne, bossue, unijambiste et leucodystrophique sinon it's not even funny. On se dit donc qu'après la leçon de morale que je viens de faire, j'aurais au moins tenté un sourire ou un mot. Et bien rien. Donc je me permettrais plus de faire la morale.
Et vous les mecs, ça va ?
