My reception will be held this Sunday at the Wedgewood Alehouse from 6 - 10 pm, please feel free to drop in anytime! There is a great menu at the Alehouse and a really fine selection of beer and wine.

This month has really gotten away from me. I tend to sort of hide during the holidays; I get the blues. I am doing okay, making tons of artwork for an upcoming show in January. HOORAY! And keeping the blues chased away. Playing in the snow with my dog has been extra special for this. : )

Today I painted 58 figurines that I created over the last 5 days. I'm really really tired, but I feel good about it. I am getting ready for Orycon where I will sell my artwork, photography, and crafts. Wish me luck!!!

On the 24th November, I have a set that I shot coming out. This one is totally cool. Not sure why this one went to member review. I liked the quality enough that I thought it would be purchased. Still, I'm very excited to see it go to MR!!!
The girl is a Hopeful and she is brand new. Her name is Kelzstarz and she is all personality and full of the sexy! Just dig that chick.

I just returned from Kiev then spent two weeks fighting with almost NO sleep. I now am sleeping but very strange hours, especially for me. I'm usually such a night owl! I sleep from 8 pm - 5 am. shrug... but at least I'm getting sleep. wee!
While in Kiev, I went to a place called Babi Yar. It is now a park and a set of monuments. But in 1941, it was the place where more than 30,000 Jewish citizens were killed during the Nazi occupation of Ukraine. They took the city and destroyed this many Jews in a matter of 2 days. I can't even imagine that. While in that park, I took many pictures of the amazing sculpture and the other monuments. But the most amazing thing I could imagine was this soil.
It had been a wooded ravine. Then, the killing ground of Kiev. Now, a park. While I was there, a girl was photographing another girl, a group of children came through with their parents, people walked their dogs. Just a normal park. I had to shoot the soil. The soil of Babi Yar. It seemed to really say something, call out to me. The people of Kiev have absorbed this dark history as part of their lives. They do not live it, but exist with it. There is just so much there, I cannot even begin to explain it well...
I might be crazy, but there was a sense of depth there that I could not pass up.

I am off!!! But not like milk that's been in the fridge too long. I am going to Kiev Ukraine!!! I will be leaving tomorrow (Monday the 20th) Won't be back until the 30th. 
I am so scared...!!! and excited. : ) I rarely get to travel but a friend has a business trip over there and I my birthday money bought me a plane ticket! I am so lucky.
I hope that I am able to meet up with Klodi and Rashal while I'm in Kiev. It would be great to shoot a couple of sets while I'm there and my friend is working.
