I have some exciting and fun news!
A lot of roller derby leagues out there have what we call "Jeerleaders" or "Fearleaders", and as I am sure you can guess...yes, they are roller derby cheerleaders! I approached my league about this idea last week, and they have put me in charge of getting a squad together!
I am so excited about this! I get to plan everything from music and dance moves to what these girls wear. Awesomeness! I have been doing my research on the other leagues' versions of this, and I think we can totally rock this!
Wish me luck guys! This is quite the project! And, if I can pull this off, I will totally prove that I can make things happen! (Anybody have a magic wand I can borrow? Mine seems to be broken. lol)

Blood Storm
Ok, so I am home sick today, and I thought I would spend the time looking at naked ladies, and updating all of you! So, here I am, and here you are:
I am officially a Roller Girl, now! I am a Dallas Derby Devil, and I skate for the Slaughterers! You can find info about our league and my team at the Derby Devils Website.
xcdat and I went on a trip a few weeks ago to see his mom, in the mountains of Ark-an-SAW. That was awesome. It was neat to see the mountains and outside-stuff. It was not-so-neat to see a deer strung-up to a tree, skinned from the neck down in some one's front yard, seriously, like right next to their house. That'd be like you pulling up in their driveway and parking next to that. Eww. We had to drive like 10-15 minutes up a mountain to get to their house, but I really liked it there (besides the deer carcus). It was a nice get-away. I felt a lot less stress, it was just nice to have a break.
While we were in the car, I spent some time on the way back writing. Which I haven't done in the longest time! I miss it sooo! I wrote my Skater Biography for the DDD site. If you haven't read any skater bios before, they are actually quite good, check the link up ^^^there and read a few! My skate name is Blood Storm, and I came up with this dark tale of how I found derby.
In short:
It starts with me working overnight at a blood bank, and I am approached by a vampire. He recruits me to be a Blood Runner. Basically someone that transports stolen blood from the blood bank to the underground Vampire City. After a while. I get caught by the Blood Bank, and have to flee. I get to the Underground City and I have to face the Elders bc of my failure. They basically give me my next assignment, which is to infiltrate the Slaughterers Roller Derby team, as that is the next best source of blood. They pass me my blood-red skates, and send me on my way.
Isn't that fantastic? When I get it typed-up and submitted, I'll have to post the whole thing. I am proud of it, lol!
I can't wait for my first Roller Girl photo shoot. It's gonna be done before the season starts in April. Right now we are just practicing and training for the up-coming season. This season is going to KICK ASS. We have so many good skaters on every team this year. My team, the Slaughterers, are the 2 season defending champs, so I am going to have to learn how to skate with the best of the best. Most of the girls I skate with are on the All Star Travel Team as well, they are just that damned good. So I am learning from the best!
Ok, so enough about derby...
xcdat and I are officially married one year and counting! November 9th was our anniversary! I can still stand him, how is that possible? lol
We've had a rough year, but I am looking forward to starting another new year with him. Ok enough mushy-gushy stuff.
My son is FIVE! Going on six even. He'll be 6 in June/Yikes. We have been having some issues here...school....goofing around. I really hope that he will learn how to operate within a classroom environment sometime before next school year. His school career depends on it.
What has happened to the funness that used to be SG? We need to get this gang back together. I miss yall.
Anyways, my head is pounding and I need some rest. Gotta get over this cold before practice Wed night!

I practiced for the first time ever with the Slaughterers last night! It was awesome. Even though they were told not to take it easy on me...there were some definite hits that could have been placed, that weren't...ehhhh, it's cool...but sooner or later they'll have to hit me.
Scary Cherry (the captain) invited me back for as many practices as I want, she said, "I want you ready for tryouts!". So, with that invitation on the table...I am going to continue my speed skating classes for endurance and speed, and I am going to join the Slaughterers every Wednesday night (as many as I can) for their team practice!
Other news, my son's and my birthday are this month! I will be turning the big 2-5 on June 28th! And my son, the big 0-5 on June 30th! Time has flown by so fast! It seems Austin was just 3 years old like 5 days ago...lol
Right now, I have quite a few things going on this month...being supportive of Rob in his job search as much as I can, which hasn't been enough lately...a kiddo Batman party to plan, my birthday, my mother's divorce (ugh!)...WORKWORKWORK(so terrible...it had to be in all caps and typed 3 times without spacing)....Planning the Summer Kick-Off Pool event for Walnut Creek...SKATING...Derby Stats and Ref-stuff...man, that is a lot...and I am sure there is much more if I sat to think about it for a while...but I am getting bored, lol.
I am excited about the joint birthday for me and the infamous sillyokio. It is going to be badass!
As a final thought:
If you were going to all of a sudden inherit thousands of dollars...what would you do with it? Build a boat, and then sail the angry sea? That's what I am leaning towards...lol Now I just gotta find that asshole that wants to give me their money. Anyone?

So I am healing quite well, and of course, am back on my skates! I am currently a member of the Z-Pack or shall I say the Zebras, yes...that means I am ref-ing tha derby! It is quite awesome, I must say. I get quite a different, and close-up view of the action! I am currently in charge of penalties (which is totally awesome). For Memorial day, xcdat and I went to Tahlequa, Oklahoma and took on the Illinois River! lol However we broke the first rule of the Illinois....You don't talk about the Illinois! Actually, now that I think of it...we broke a few of 'em! lol Especially the No Profanity rule. But that one sucked ASS anyways! lol
Hope all of our lovely SGers are doing well. We totally need to go rafting together...it was awesomesauce, as my Silly would say.

So, a lot of people have said, it's time for an Update. And this one's JUICY!
Most of you know, I have been training for Roller Derby, tryouts are in September, btw. I have been taking Speed Skating classes on Thursdays and Sundays. A week ago yesterday, I busted my head open at skating class. We were doing One Lap Tag relays, and I was shuffling to try and catch the instructor to tag him, and I fell. I slid on my elbow and knee pads straight into a cement Hockey entrance located on the far side of the rink.
I hit so hard that my scalp just tore across the top of my head, exposing my skull. I bled quite a bit, and of course, went into panic-mode. I don't remember this, but the few that witnessed it said that I asked, "Am I going to die?"
Long story---> Shortened: 9-1-1 was called, the life-saving peeps arrived, Morphine, ambulance ride to Trauma Center at Parkland, More Morphine, Assessment, CT Scan, Demerol, Wound Cleaning then 7 stiches to the lining around my skull and finally---23 staples across the top of my head and down the right side of my scalp.
My follow-up appt with my normal doc is today. He will remove the staples if they are ready to come out, and I should be able to use something other than Neosporin as hair gel, which, weirdly enough works amazingly.
I was back on my skates yesterday, don't worry, I took it easy. I should be back to my regular skating sessions starting this Thursday. And hopefully, will be skating for the lovely, the un-defeated---Slaughterers after this September!

Post-Op: I am doing well, I will hopefully get the staples removed today, and be back at work tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing good, too! We've missed you all!
I am so-super excited right now, I can't stand it! Things are going much better:
My wedding is just...wow, less than 3 days away! Pretty much everything has worked out really well. My dress fits perfectly, I have picked a hairstyle that I like...ie NOT an up-do! ;-) I have great friends that are supporting me and helping with lots of stuff! My family is excited, I am excited...I just can't wait!
I can't believe in just a few days Rob and I will actually be husband and wife. I love him so much, and I am so happy he feels the same, and it is actually happening! My fairytale wedding! Just like Cinderella, even! A Castle! Prince Alarming, I mean, Charming! And I even have a Pumpkin Carriage! Well, ok, so I don't have a carriage....does a Karyn count? She has pumpkins! On her tits even! lol (Love you, Karyn!)
We all know that nothing can go right without something going wrong, so I have been anticipating things to go wrong....but I never imagined I would have to deal with some of the things that have challenged me lately. On my way to my bridal portrait photography session, I was in a car accident. Estimated damage over $7000. I am ok, and no one was seriously injured...but it was frustrating to say the least. Officer Killingsworth said I was the most attractive accident yet, as I had my hair and make-up done for the pics that were to take place.
Then my mom's dog, Bonnie Sue, had a stroke. She has no feeling or control over her back left leg, or her stomach muscles. Poor puppy.
My mom is handling the flower arrangements for my wedding, so I am sure she is super-stressed. But, she wants to help, and that is good.
Then there is always that drama that loves to find you and attempt to drag you down during your moments of happiness, or excitement, or whatever...Rob and I have been dealing with some issues
Anyways.
I don't know whether to be upset, or just let it go. I just want to marry the man I love, have 400 babies, and yes...buy stock in powerthirst. lol
