my friend keeps offering to teach me how to take better pictures, and i think i'm going to take him up on it. he's never done "professional" work (meaning he's never sold it), but he takes fantastic shots. he's been doing pictures for models' portfolios and such for years (and he did all of my sister's pictures, and there were some amazing ones of her)...

i'd love to have a new hobby...even if i just did it for free.

now...just need to get off my butt and actually do it!

Sounds like a great idea. If you do decide to get out there and take some pictures on your own. I know when I lived out that way I loved the scenery along the W&OD trail, which I believe runs through or close to Sterling. I know I've riden to Claude Moore off the trail a few years back.

You should go for it! Photography is the most enjoyable thing in my life. Its such a wonderful creative release.

i have no doubt that you will succeed in it
you have a .... how to say it in English? loving eye: you see the beauty in others - even in their imperfection you find it.
so you totally should get off your butt and do it!
