So...My mum has cancer. She found a lump in her neck, and since she had breast cancer 10 years ago, went and got it checked out. It is apparently a form of lymphoma, but we don't know what kind yet as things are still in early stages and she is still to get a few tests. She's getting her bone marrow checked on thursday and needs a CT scan to check it hasn't spread anywhere else.
My poor family just can't catch a fucking break right now.
And the irony to shit all over this is that my mum, sister and I were planning to run the Race For Life next month (in aid of Cancer Research UK) to celebrate my mum being cancer free for 10 years. Ha! Someone is having quite a laugh at our expense.
my sister and I are still doing it, and mum is determined to regardless of her treatment at that time. That woman amazes me. Sponsorship would be appreciated...even a couple of quid would make a difference.
