Started putting apps out for a part time job or a new better full time job. Hope this works!
Saturday I was fortunate enough to go to a RIT class. (Rapid Intervention Team) This is advance training for fire fighters. If a fire fighter goes down in a burning structure we go in to save him. The class was an all day event. It included jumping out of second story windows on to ladders, repelling a building from just a single piece of rope, extracting downed fire fighters ect....
All I can say is WOW! Intense training! Every muscle in my body hurts! It was so incredible and well worth the pain! I love being part of the fire department! I need to attend more classes like this!

My First Responder class is coming up to an end in a few weeks. All my thoughts of not being able to handle this are starting to go away. On my last test on Tuesday I only got three wrong! Another high grade in the class! Some how the knowledge is sticking with me. The only question now is, can I apply this knowledge in the field......
Work here has been slow at the printing company lately.... Starting to fill out a Resume for myself. I have never ever made one of these up for me, so this is all a new experience. I actually have a skilled trade as a stitcher operator, but I am looking for any machine operator or maintenance position. Hopefully Ill get it done this week. Friday should be a good day to finish it since I have off of work for some more advance Fire Fighter schooling......

Getting tired of school now! My EMS class is a little difficult and didn't do to great on today's test. Guess I'll just have to work and study harder. I seem to be loosing interest....
Just have to keep at it and hope the next few months go quickly. Its for a good cause! Nothing more rewarding than saving some ones life!

Had a EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) test today! I was soooooo worried about it! I am bad at tests and remembering names and such.... I thought for sure I was going to fail. Had to have 46 out of 60 correct. Get my test back and I see a 45 on the front! My heart dropped. Then I realized that was 45 out of 50 on the front side right and had one wrong out of the last ten on the back! So I passed with six wrong out of 60!
Some how two of the six I got wrong the teacher said could go either way. So in the end I had 4 wrong!
Wahooo!!!!! I am so very proud of myself! If I keep this up by Spring I will be a First Responder! =)
Now off to work =(

Started my First Responder class. On the first day i had old books, so I had to go get new ones. Going to be way way too much reading I think! At least I know the teacher and one of the other students I had taking my Fire Fighter classes with. Class is small, only 4-5 people! Should have a lot of one-on-one teaching and a lot more practicals.
Other than that, nothing new. Its been really quit lately, witch is a good thing!

So I passed my Entry Level 2 Fire Fighter class. Now I can attack a burning building from the inside. I little scary!
Later that day I moved out of my apartment into a house. A whole house to myself. Renting it now, but the owners said they would do a rent to own thing when I am ready.
I also joined up with the Adell First Responders. So now Ill have six months of school coming up for that! Finally starting to make good choices in my life! =)

What a long weekend! Firefighter school and partying! Im exhausted! I think my first break/lazy day will be Thanksgiving!

So Friday night I go out to hang with a friend I haven't seen in over a month. She convinced me to come out, and when I got there she barely talked tome and left about 30 minutes later! Geese girls can be confusing!
Went home and got two hours of sleep and my pager goes off at 3 am. Apartment fire in Adell. I get out there and worked my ass off! At one point I tripped on a hose and fell on my knee. Had to be concrete under me, and it had to be my bad knee that was just starting to heal. Ya it hurt really bad!
My day wasn't over! I had to go to school and take a test for my Entry Level Fire Fighter 1 class and then three hours of practicals! I did pass my test but could not fully do the practicals since I couldn't crawl on my knees. Thank fully they understood!
Looks like Ill have to drop out of my next class due to my knee =( Hopefully in 3 months it will be healed again so I can get in the next class....

Day 2 of Fire Fighter 1 was quit an experience. Got put on air for the first time. Such a strange feeling! I really need to work on getting my breathing slower.
After that they made us crawl in a smoke filled room trying to find our way. You could barely see one foot in front of you! I wore the wrong pants for this, had zippers on my knees and cut them up. I wont make that mistake again! lol
Really enjoying it so far, but boy does it take a lot out of me!
