anyone know about cryptozoology?? *looks at helly*

in october of 2001 i worked at sally beauty supply. i was working with one other girl, michelle, one day, it was nice out and we had the door open. we were in the back of the store and came around front and michelle screamed. i then noticed a HUGE black bird sitting about 3 feet away from the front door. i live and work in the city, im in phoenix so there are mountains all around, but ive never seen anything like this. we assumed it was a raven and were baffled at why on earth it would be hanging out in a strip mall. now ive never seen a raven before, but i know theyre large birds, so thats what we went with. this bird was so big that we were actually terrified and quickly closed and locked, yea locked, the door and ran to the back of the store to watch from there. the bird just sat there not moving or making any noise for quite a while, then it just took off. it flew around the parking lot attempting to land on bushes and small trees but they wouldnt support its weight. it finally found a spot on top of the light post and was there for about an hour, then left. we never saw it again.
the bird stood at least 3 feet tall and its wing span was way longer than me. i always just thought it was a raven, until i saw a program about sightings of unknown large black birds. there was some video footage one man caught of this bird flying around trees tryig to land, but being too heavy to be supported. it looked exactly like what i saw. so i looked up photos of ravens in arizona and they are nothing like what i saw. i am now convinced i saw one of these unknown birds. i did an online search but didnt find much.
so i'm wondering if any of you have any idea what i'm talking about, and if you have any information.

k thanks

birds

i was super curious..so i did some leg work..i actually found a lot of info on the bird you are referring to...but here is one..it specifically talks about the area in which you live.....

from what i can gather it may be called a thunderbird...the one that you are talking about...the way they describe it in most of the articles i read is very similar to what you describe.....

I've seen many a raven in my day, seeing a how I'm from Baltimore. They're our team mascot for the football dudes, of course, The Ravens... and Edgar Allen Poe... so on and so forth. If it's any bigger than a foot tall, it's not a fricking raven.

I wish I could see a picture of it. Maybe it is just a lost east coast bird. Maybe even midwest. Who knows.

As for the water here... BALLS dude. Baltimore had AWESOME tap water. I could easily drink that shit. Some of the best in the country, from what I understand.

My Brita filter pitcher is still at my friend Hilary's in Baltimore. Didn't realize how much I would need it here. whatever

What are some reasons they tell you not to drink it? I can't even get peasant-vision on this tv (basic 5 channels, that is).

Now you make time to come see me and maybe I won't keep going insane.
