I am enjoying vet school to the fullest. It is an incredible experience!!

I can't wait to look around and see what's new here.

So my girlfriend told me I was too focused on my career and not focused enough on her. The nerve! Needless to say, we have parted ways. So, I am single and headed to Va Tech. Vet school is 75% female. Life is funny in the way it hides rewards along the way. I am getting ready to move in the next couple of weeks. Just me and my 3 dogs. I am good to go and excited about my new adventures that are forthcoming.

I have been accepted into vet school. I will start in the fall. Life is good...and forever different. I am still in shock from the news and the magnitude of this event. I will be moving to Virginia in the summer and leaving my old life behind. I am incredibly excited.

I made the cut for interviews to get into vet school. I go to interviews in two weeks. Then I should know for sure by Feb. 20th if I have been accepted or not. I am still with Stephanie and she is fucking amazing. I haven't talked to anyone on here in awhile, so I hope all is well. Dreams do come true, you just have to really, really want it more than anything else in the world.

So, I've been hanging out with this girl I just met, and I must say she fucking kicks ass. I am very, very fucking pleased. Maybe, there are some good ones left. And, to all my geezer buddies, she is over 30, doesn't play bullshit games and is still smoking fucking hot...YES!!

So I broke up with my girlfriend of one year this weekend. The trouble is I really don't feel bad at all about it. Neither of us did anything wrong. We just don't really like each other any more. Am I an emotionless bastard or do flames just burn out sometimes?

This post was motivated by trixxx, but all are welcome to comment. I just felt out of place wearing clothes and hiding behind my monitor while everyone else is being much more open. I am saving my pennies for a web cam. That will be fun.

Obama wins the presidency. Fuck that. I don't have a problem with the fact that he is black. I have a problem with him being a weak leader. This is the most powerful country in the world. A man who has not served this country in the military has no right to lead it. When Clinton ran the country, servicemen died unnecessarily (USS Cole). I don't expect anything different from this Democrat. I am really scared about the weakness of Obama's foreign affairs. You won, Obama, now let's see what you got. Please, please, prove me wrong. I have no faith in your no name, non proven reputation. Make things better or go away. (Remember JFK).

It amazes me how easy it is to get tunnel vision on everyday life and forget that the whole world is still there whether I can see it or not. I slipped away for a weekend at the beach. I spent the time just drinking, relaxing, and taking in the beautiful landscape. Life goes too fast. Everything just goes so fucking fast now. What can I do to slow it down without removing myself from the environment/situation entirely?

Here's what helped me so much down there.

Got to go through a sobriety checkpoint and do a field sobriety test last night. What a fucking fun time. I passed the field test and then had to take the breathalizer anyway. I was 1/10 over the legal limit. The cop took it easy on me though and made me park it and let a friend come and get me. He could have dropped the hammer. I guess not all cops are bad. The world is a mysterious place.
