I've definitely mellowed out these past few years.....went to get a haircut and decided to try bangs again and the guy (who was actually super nice and friendly) wet my hair, pulled it down and cut it so that the end result was a wispy fringe halfway up my forehead. A few years ago I would have freaked out a fair bit but I just came home, took out the scissors and fixed it up. Don't sweat the small stuff.
Fleshies are back in too and my ears are throbbing like a bitch, I need to take it slowly this time and not jump up sizes too quickly since last time I did that I got a killer ear infection. The holes shrank since I took them out since I only went up to about 8mm because of work but I still wasn't able to wear normal earrings since they would just fall out. Pics coming when i get them back up to 8 or something respectable.
On a less appearance related topic, only two weeks to Italy! I'm heading into Stockholm tomorrow to organise a few things, then driving to Denmark later in the week and Italy after that. Excited! Somehow have to manage to fit in a trial at a potential workplace, it's going to be a VERY busy month coming up since if I get the job I basically have to move house the week I get back from Italy.
Pizza dinner tonight.....mmmmmmmmm

I really want to get my eyebrows done but I'm terrified of going to a pro here in Sweden since pencil thin Mc Donalds eyebrows seem to be in fashion and I don't know the language well enough to be sure that I wouldn't walk out with the same thing.. I saw someone with drawn on angry black brows at the gym today and spent a few minutes wondering if she would sweat them off. Each to their own, but it's just not my cup of tea, personally.
I'm a big fan of a natural brow, thick but tidy. Fingers crossed for a comeback!

Who here includes a photograph on their CV?
I've been applying for jobs in Sweden and apparently it's the norm here which is pretty strange to me since it's considered a pretty wankey thing to do back home in Australia.
I'm super frustrated by the job market here, I never finished university which has everybody up in arms, it's almost like you need a degree to clean toilets these days, which is insane! I've got almost 10 years experience working in all kinds of roles including cafe management, retail, sales, massage, fitness, bartending, recruitment and solutions consulting with a big bank, all of which I got without a degree. I once has a huge role in creating a promoting a new juice bar concept back home and basically renovated an entire store and created the menu, so why is it so freakin hard to find a job, ANY job here? I have respect for those who choose to study but since that was not an ideal choice for me, it's really frustrating that life experience is always shoved aside for a degree.
*sigh*
Missing the Australian way of life just a little bit these days.....

Had the worst night sleep ever, it turns out that there is a mouse family living in the roof right above my head. Tried banging on the wall a few times but the chewing just got louder and louder. I can sleep through the noises of three chinchillas and six hamsters but as soon as I hear a rodent that is not mine I am forced to sleep downstairs on the couch (right next to the chin room, with all three of them bouncing around their cage happily)
Got up at 5:30 and attempted to do some yoga, but the kitchen floor was just too hard and cold so gave up and decided to blog and look at sets with my extra 45 mins. Time well spent, for sure
I have 39 days to go until I leave for Italy.......getting fit and healthy to be buff for the big trip, really cannot wait! I decided against registering at my gym for a 30 day fitness challenge, it seemed a waste to be told things that I already know and to receive a menu plan that I know I won't stick by. If I up the yoga and cut back on the chocolate, results will come in due time

I resolve to do a seven minute shoulder stand every morning starting from tomorrow.....we don't have any mirrors though so it's going to be really hard trying to see my lines and make sure I am straight.
It's been a busy week, I've been horseriding a lot and keep making progress as far as my technique goes......another few months and I might be up to competing in some basic shows. Yay

Might be moving house! We are currently looking into work possibilities for my boyfriend in Göteborg, living in a small town is stressful for us both and we are really keen to find a community of people who will support us as well as more outlets for our creative energy.....sports for him and yoga, coffee groups and school for me.
Fingers crossed I manage to find work too so we can have enough money to travel a bit more this summer

Still not feeling 100% which is annoying although I did manage to sweat it out a bit at the gym today.
It's a frustrating effort but I am finally starting to see results from my fitness program and healthy eating kick..... It's so annoying, I was in brilliant shape and eating so well six months ago but since moving to a very isolated town I've been slacking off, it's really hard to find motivation when you have nowhere to be. I found it so much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle when working 60+ hour weeks in the city with almost two hours of travel time per day, it works better for me to have a strict list of things to do rather than no solid plan......I've basically spent the last six months in the house watching TV when I should be trying to make friends and find a job, but I find myself somewhat paralyzed, it's really hard to get out of the rut.
Spring around the corner soon, hopefully that shakes things up a bit

Feeling pretty sick still, my boyfriend came home on Friday night after a big night out and was sick all Saturday, I was a bit of a mega bitch and refused to give him sympathy since I said he was only hungover and now as a form of karmic punishment I now have his stomach bug and keep throwing up. Ugh.
I'm counting down the days until I get to go to Italy, have not started learning the language since I figure I can get by on only English. Such a lazy attitude but my mind is filled up with other languages at the moment and I don't have any room for Italian :S

Watching My Super Sweet 16........It warps my mind to know that there are people like that out there, self indulgent little bastards with simpering friends.......woah.
I booked my flights to Italy today
Does anybody have any suggestions on places to visit? I'm hoping for Rome, Naples and Florence and have ten days to spend doing whatever I want
On a negative note, I have frostbite in one of my toes. It's sore and red and I'm really hoping it goes back to normal soon.
