Commence birthday countdown, NOW!
Not a very long countdown, regardless.
Like, half an hour now.
How have you all been?!
School and work are sucking the life from me.
But I can't complain too much.
A couple of weeks ago, large areas in Rhode Island were flooded.
Luckily, I was safe, but areas like Warwick, about a 40 minute drive from my house were pretty bad.
Even a portion of 95 was closed down.
It did end up in me getting an entire week out of school, because the first floor was flooded though.
Were any of you other Rhode Islanders affected by the flooding?

My car repairs will take an estimated two weeks, so I've been drving around my mother's care for the past 4 days now. I can't drive my rental, I'd be a nervous wreck, it's a Dodge Caliber which is practically a station wagon and I am no good judge at distance when parking.
So, BROM has pretty much taken over my life with his novel The Child Thief. I want to indulge myself in it, but I also want to read it quick so I can read his two other books. How can someone be so good at writing AND art?
And music wise, I'm in love with the band Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. DOWNLOAD BEARD LUST NOW. It's an amazing song.
Ugh, Anime Boston needs to approach quicker! This is the first year I'll have loads of friends going and it'll be exciting to not be my lone wolf self, though raves are more fun to go to buy yourself. Trust me. And concerts, I've learned concerts are AWESOME to go to buy yourself. Just a word to the wise.

So, in desperate need to pull myself away from anything vampire related, I went to Borders to find new reading material. Thanks to the outstanding cover art, I found The Child Thief by BROM. It's a great twisted spin on the classic Peter Pan. The pointed earred boy travels from the faerie world to the human world to take wayward children away to his island of Avalon. He steals kiddies pretty much. I'm totally in love with the book, and so is the entirety of the Borders store I went to, because the employees all had to tell me their little stories. You should all pick it up. It's the adult Harry Potter book.
I've also been reading the Courtney Crumrin comics by Ted Naifeh. Courtney reminds me of like Mandy from Billy and Mandy's Grim Adventures, but she's very much her own person. She and her creepy warlock uncle have all sorts of supernatural adventures. The art is so unique and the story is AMAZINGLY well told for bing 70 percent told through art, if not more.
My car goes in for body repairs today at 9 am. So excited! I'm at least glad the kid had insurance and such a speedy and polite company at that.
Nothing else new.
How are you all doing?

I suppose it's time for the monthly blog.
Hey y'all.
This year is creeping by for me in an ill-favored way.
My cat, Dustball, of eighteen years developed Leukemia in the past couple of months and died over the weekend. I miss her very much, and unfortunately still have that phantom cat syndrome where I go to pick her up and she's not there.
I learned how to reformat a computer.
That's what I get for using Limewire AND not having installed any anti-virus software.
Needless to say, I'm strictly iTunes now.
I have a crush at work.
Crushes are such sickening things to have.
I'm addicted to Mtv's newest show, My Life As Liz. Thank God, right, because the Buried Life sucked. Liz Lee is sort of my new female heroine after finding the show is all true events throughout her senior year. I would die if I had to deal with Cori Cooper. If you haven't watched My Life As Liz, I highly suggest it, and if nothing else, watch it to broaden your music playlist. Awesome songs on that show.
Anime Boston '10 is coming up.
I'm probably going alone again this year and meeting up with with various friends throughout the weekend.
If I can scrape up enough of my tax money, I'll be making a Bizenghast cosplay. It's the only other thing, besides next semester that I look forward to with a lot of enthusiasm.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Resolutions:
-Actually use my wii fit, and every day no doubt.
-Be a less jealous, more accepting person.
-And make cleaning a more daily routine.
Boring resolutions.
What are some of your resolutions?

Happy Belated Holidays!!!
Hope you all had a great holiday.
Get anything good from Santa or any of the eight nights?
Out of all my gifts, the one I was the most psyched over was a bar of soap.
Seriously, nothing better than this bar of soap.
Tyler Durden WISHES he made this shit.
So, tonight my friend just happened to catch me and we went to see Sherlock Holmes.
SEE IT. Seriously.
Guy Ritchie, director and writer of MY FAVORITE FILM EVER, RockNRolla, directed this one. It's brillant and witty and the twists always kept me on the edge of my seat. My mind was blown with the complexity of everything. I don't want to give any detail away, but it's so hard not to just rant on and on about how ingenious this movie was. Not to mention, Robert Downey JR is charming and BAD ASS as all Hell in it.
And while you're at it, rent RockNRolla. Or buy it. Cinematic masterpiece full of the best lines and hilarious misadventures. "Think before you drink, before you drive me crazy."

I'm having my first aim conversation with someone who is ridiculosuly smashed and I think it's hilarious.
There's nothing like getting complimented every other message in really awkward, straightforward ways.
Christmas is exactly two weeks away.
I have not put up my tree, decorated, OR shopped for presents.
AT ALL. I'm in trouble. Too much in so little time.
Classes for this semester finally at an end!
Finals next week, wish me luck!!!
Happy Holidays!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Here's how I'm dividing my day:
1. Parade
2. Spending all the time before dinner trying to pry off my door panel to fix the windox my sister threw off track.
3. Getting frustrated.
4.Eating dinner while being upset about the window and the disgusting bar trash my aunt invited to OUR Thanksgiving dinner.
I HOPE I CAN FIX MY WINDOW, my entire day rides on that, or at least my mood for the entire day.
WISH ME LUCK, I don't have a door pry tool...

I am so dazzled right now!
Went to the Misfits concert all alone tonight.
GOT UP FRONT MIDDLE!
Made two new friends, Nick and Tom, while waiting for an hour for the first act.
They saw an old friend, who turned out to be the drunkest kid at the concert.
A tall ass red head who thought he could break dance so he did so between acts.
Lemon Lime Tennis Shoes and Acerose were great!
Then Sasquath and the Sickabillys came on and this drunk Russian guy kept dry humping me.
It took my new friend Nick and this old school punk rock guy to get rid of him.
Really enjoyed the rest of the set and the filth they brought to the stage with the spit fight.
And then the Misfits came on stage.
All Hell broke loose.
Crowdsurfers were crashing down on me left and right.
In the end, I got Jerry Only to sign my ticket stub and some kids outside were praising me for my ability to hold a spot up front at the gate and take the beats and return them. I was proud of myself, too. My first Ska/Grindcore/Rockabilly/Punk show. What an odd combination of bands...
Well, it's after 1 am, so I'm out for the night. Goodnight!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
What's everyone up to today?
I'm passing out candy as a cat.
I made really sweet ears and did really great make-up.
Ran out of candy at 7:30-ish so I went to CVS.
But now that I bought two more bags, no kids, alright one kid.
