age: 25 (Jul 27, 1986)
MEMBER SINCE: February 2005
occupation: Variable and eclectic (I'm a bum)
makes me happy: Experiencing. Imagining. Thinking.
makes me sad: Thinking too much.
stats: 5'11" Med Build 170lb
sign: Slow children at play.
crush: Who needs a crush? I've got porn.
into: Shotokan. Creation of things by hand and force of will. Extremely soft clothes. Comfortingly warm blankets. Shockingly cold air. Surprisingly sunny days. Occasional pyrotechnics. Good smokes. Good sex.
gets me hot: Shameless sexuality, honest moaning, and some harmless biting.
fantasy: Imagine it. Pursue it. Every day you can.
body mods: Just Shotokan battle scars and deep flesh bite marks (a bloody going away present from a good friend!) I've got some depressingly expensive ink plans.
i lost my virginity: while drunk and naive. Neither lasted.
Point of interest: I'm working 12-hour nights now. Just how fucked up does one's judgment need to be in order to say to one's boss "yeah, sure, I can do that"? Well, I went to bed last night (?) just after catching a pretty sunrise, and I woke up just now in time for a likely humdrum sunset. No, I didn't get those two backwards, I just slept through daylight. RatherÂ… vampiric, no?
After posting this blog, I'll go eat breakfast as my family returns from work. Over a piping hot bowl of oatmeal I'll drown out the fading orange twilight with a 10,000 lumen beacon of white-hot light to replace my daily dose of serotonin-boosting sunlight. Even if you don't know for sure what a lumen is, ten-thousand is a damn impressive number, but no matter. This table-top light box is almost as good as cannabis for perking up a downer of a day, and I would highly recommend it. It's a lot more legal, too, for what that's worth. Just don't stare into it for more than 20 minutes, or you'll end up a manic!
So, as of 2 months ago, and for probably 18 more, my life revolves around a bizarre work schedule. It's almost enough to make me go back to school. Of course, in a few months I can get technical classes, such as Programmable Logic Controllers and other industrial electronics, paid for exclusively by my employers, with a flexible enough work schedule to work around the classes. Free training, industry experience, and a bit of money to boot: not a bad deal. So yes, school will wait just a little longer for me.
Holy crap do I miss high school, which is a helluva thing to say. The actual ritual of being routinely immersed in a pool of thousands of kids my age was less than ideal, but the learning itself was nice. Also, the rifle team was joyous. I really do miss the feel of recoil against my shoulder after lining up...
