Now The Bad News:

My hand and arm are both broken.. badly, so I'm in a cast. I have bad rotator cup damage and serious tissue damage... So I'm gonna have to have surgery.



I saw to my lawyer today.. he said he was going to take care of me.. He's going to get help from another lawyer who specialises in workmans comp cases, as he's going to handle the harrassment part of my case.

Earlier today my manager Corrine called me and we agreed that I would just come in and run the cash register tonight when I was scheduled from 7:30-close.

but when I went in, I was whiped totally off the schedule for all of this week, and there was someone else working in my place.
When I asked Corrine about it she said I was a liability and told me I couldnt come back until I was completely healed.

What do you think about this?

I'm calling Alan in the morning to tell him about it.(hes my lawyer)

Right now... I'm all sorts of doped up from pain killers, and I typed all this with one hand.

This is an update to what happened to me on Saturday, the 4th.

In case you didn't know, I work at the Barnes and Noble Cafe on San Jose Blvd, in Jacksonville, Florida.


Our managers took away our safety mats, saying they were unattractive. This was 6 months ago. Since then we've all begged and pleaded with corporate office to replace the mats, as the floor gets slippery when it gets wet.
Their reply was, "Don't get the floor wet."

chhaaa.. When 97% of our sales have to do with liquid drinks.

Anyway.. in a mad rush, I slipped and fell.. my right arm crumbling underneath me causeing my back to twist in an unnatural way.
At first I was in so much shock I didnt feel too much pain. So I got up and played it off like I was okay. I asked my manager if I could take a 15, and she looked at me like it was the wrong time to ask.. so I kept working. When the pain got to bad I told the manager I was taking a break and went back and forced my other manager to call it in to HR. I took some tylenol and they asked me to go back to work.
After work I crashed, my arm was swelling, and it felt tingly and numb.. and my back hurt so badly I had troouble sleeping.

Because of the hurricane I had to wait to go to the doctors. They made me work on Tuesday..and the pain just got worse. When I almost passed out, Karen Peirce(the sweet manager) made them let me go home.
Wednesday when I got up I went to Solantic which is a walk in clinic. They told me my shoulder was dislocated and that my hand was either broken or fractured. They didnt want to do anytype of work to me until I went to the ER.
So we spent 6 hours in the ER, they only xrayed my shoulder, but what they said was, that my shoulder was dislocated, but working through it made it naturally pop back in. Causing it to tear tissue in my shoulder and pinch some nerves in my back. The gave me loritabs and somas. The loritabs fuck me up so badly that I throw up everytime I take them.
I'm so miserable.. I just want to die.

I have to go back to Solantic so they can xray my hand now that the swelling has gone down. So pray that its just a fracture and not a break.


So I called my lawyer, and I have a meeting with him on Mondey afternoon. Not just about the fall, but about all the harrassment too.

I'm sorry I haven't updated recently, or been very active with all of you. Its hard to type one handed. I love you all..

..and don't worry, Hellmark is taking very good care of me. He even stays awake at night to make sure I'm still breathing. So go tell him how wonderful he is.. because hes making himself sick to make sure I'm okay.


October 31st, 2004 and we'll be married.

So I survived Hurricane Frances, barely.
I'm sorry to all who have suffered loss.. my heart is with you.

On Saturday I slipped and fell at work due to their neglegence of refusing to have mats.
It was pretty serious, and they treated it like it was nothing. I have to go to the emergency room tomorrow cause I think I fractured my wrist when I fell.. My back is really fucked up too...
I'm in such an unbelievable amount of pain.

This lovely lady is the most sweet, lovable, sensitive, adoring, cutey in the WORLD! I have been blessed with her friendship, and I treasure it beyond all things. *hugs and kisses* Happy birthday baby!!
