this is my first lull during the whole month where i can say that may has been very good to me. my projects all panned out perfectly, ive been travelling a bit and everything is in its place and moving in the right direction. this weekend is pretty large, being that the primer nationals are back and that J's gathering is at Willow Springs. im hoping to be able to attend both if not, then im gonna rest up.

im also seriously debating on putting the lexus up on stands for the summer to do a rebuild on the engine. and get that manual trans in. somethin about 3 pedals and a V8 makes me salivate and convulse.

i apologize if i have been MIA lately. all for good reason really.

i woke up this morning. cleaned up, put my clothes on and went down the car. started her up, and while i was waiting for it to warm up i looked in my passenger seat. what do i find?

feels like im in some weird movie. haha. what the fuck happened?

so here we are. the new year. the new president. and i have a new bike to prep for this year. and thats all i really care about. resolutions, hopes, and aspirations. theyre all something to keep us going right? something like that. anyhow, i am currently babysitting my nephew this week. its basically ruined my work schedule. but im not mad. i love the little booger.

how is everyone doin?

ive been trying to lay low since my birthday/end of summer blowout. we killed a keg of boddingtons ale, and i went on out of control auto pilot. trashed the yard, puked it up. and kept partyin all over again. the whole thing went on through the thursday night after. i cant believe im still alive with kidneys and liver intact. the rest of the year should be a blast. mom and dad are taking off to europe the first and im going to the grand canyon on the third.

shops been busy, as usual. things keep popping up. im back in school too. although i took today off to put in some overtime. did a brake swap for a friends m3 to get things ready for the next session at streets. ehhhh. dont do brakes when theyre hot. its just more of a pain in the ass. lol.

a top 10 of bands that have molded my life. these are in no particular order. i say top 10 cause well theyre on top. and theres gonna be 10 of em.

10. Daft Punk. these 2 can do no wrong. they took a hell of a hiatus during the mid to late 90s but man did they come back harder better faster stronger. that was lame but its serious. currently im blasting the Alive 2007 album. and all i can say is wow.

9. Tiger Army. what more can i say about a rockabilly/psychobilly band with an upright bass that they havent said already. fuckin amazing. and most excellent in person. ladies be warned.

8. Dethklok. are they real? are they fake? well if youve gone to the show. you know exactly whats going on. the fact that this is a band that is also a cartoon series just makes it that much better.

7. Reverend Horton Heat. the music i work to. and the music i listen to as i drive my car way too fast for my own good. the man wears a sequin tux. and he sings of bales of cocaine. what else is there?

6. Sublime. not a summer goes by when i dont blast the self titled cd. lots of friends were friends with the band before brad left us. LBC's finest.

5. Dropkick Murphy's. tough irish punk rock. maybe i should have been born irish. never felt more at home in a country like ireland. and well these fella's have yet to disappoint me.

4. Pink Floyd. many a stoned night. and music that was just so out of this world. listen to echoes. and watch the end of 2001 a space odyssey. not much more needed to talk about.

3. Gorillaz. an experiment that just went soooooo right. 90s artists reborn in a package that carried so well into the 2000's.

2. Gnarls Barkley. prolific. amazing beats backing an even more amazing voice. again, another even more splcing of epic proportions
