Hiya!! Just a quick recap of my weekend.... Spend a wonderful day in Antwerp w/ my misses, my sister, her man, both my moms, and the doggies: Jonah & James. Upon arrival we had a lovely lunch (w/ cheesecake and all!), then we went to see the new house they bought, located in the outskirts of Antwerp. There was a small streetfair going on and some shops were open too. So we had a nice wander round. After, we went to the park to play speedminton and have icecream. It was a good day.



Other than that, I'm negotiating my next tattoo appointment & design. And I'm working quite alot lately. Tomorrow's my day off tho, which FINALLY gives me a chance to pop by the skateshop (I haven't been able to go and say hi in like a month ).

Yesh, I AM looking forward to seeing The Incredible Hulk. I also LOVE BBQ Chicken pizza. I can't wait for (hed)P.E.'s DIY Guys dvd to be released. I have a weird thing for girls in certain jackets. You can totally get things done from me by simply serving me cupcakes. For that matter: Ben & Jerry's = heaven to me. Transformers are god. Bully's videos are the cutest ever. And Weezy IS the best rapper alive. Besides all that I'm a total Nike-head. And finally I'm in need of some new ink.

Woooohoooooo! What a great weekend I've had! My girl's folks flew over from the U.K. last Thursday, so me and the misses took some days off to spend w/ them.

Friday was a day spend in Amsterdam: strolled allong the canals, ate good food, bought some shoes and a crewneck.



Saturday we showed the folks where we work, which is in Maastricht. Me @ Men_At_Work, she @ Mercedes Benz. MB was having a Family Day so we joined them for a nice little barbeque.

Sunday (yesterday ) was of course the.... Amsterdam Tattoo Con!!!! We didn't take the folks there, ghaha, but joined up w/ the lovely Candee, the hyper SuzyAnn, and the awesome miss Inge. Kubus + BangBang performed. I got to see the ever-so-cute Brite, the lucious Clio, my artist J.Tattoo, and saw the wonderful Frankie doing what she does best. All I can say is: what, a, day.




Today will be a chilled day, just in and round our appartement. Then tomorrow we'll take her folks to meet my folks and tour through the Limburgian countryside. They leave on Wednesday and I'll be back to work by then too.

Oh, Candee, g'luck with your new job @ the Players Club. We'll come visit soooooon!

How's Ape been?? Goody. Pretty busy w/ work, enjoi'ing the sun w/ the team, and loving life w/ my misses.

Besides that, I have the sad news that my camera got broked. So no pics to add this time. BUT.... Ape wouldn't be Ape if he wouldn't at least give you SOME eyecandy.



For some reason I'm drawn to these colors this summer: pale-yellow, turquoise, solid green, and hard pink. And look how greatly you can match them!! Ghaha. They're fresh AND old school at the same time. Doesn't get much better than that now does it?!

Brings me to the following. I was looking at new sneakers to get (yesh, again ) and found these. Apparently SuzyAnn absolutely loves them too, so now I gotta order them for her ..and for myself, ghahaha. We're lucky w/ my connection to the local skateshop. What do y'all think??

There we go. A brand new blog. About..? Yeah, good question. Nothing much going on in the world of Ape lately. Just finished a seven day stretch at work, needless to say I'm happy to have a day off.

The sun is shining. I'm wearing shorts. I baked fresh cupcakes. I re-organised the bedroom (my girl is having trouble sleeping, so now the bed's in line with the earthlines ..or so I hope). Also showed my face at the local skateshop for a quick chat. And now I'm chilling, thinking about what to make for dinner, and then later on basketball practice.



Oh and I'm looking forward to ordering some Johnny Cupcakes shirts. It's soooo hard to choose tho!!

And today I love James even more than I already used to.

Thought I'd start this bloggy off w/ some Dutch artists. I know most of you won't understand what they're rapping about, but still, le'me know what you think.

I am currently listening to this '96 hiphop mix.

It's a sunny Sunday morn, well.. afternoon already actually, ghaha. I'm home alone, the misses is in Germany for the weekend, visiting her bro and his wife 'n daughter. Leaves me here w/ our aminals. Not yet sure what I'll do today. I've send out texts to see if anyone's up for shooting some hoops outside ..so far nothing but messages back from people who are preoccupied. Guess I'll just be hanging out on the balkony then, sunbathing.

Want me to explain why I took these pics?

First one is tulips and other flowers. I saw a guy taking pics of them w/ his fancy expensive camera and all I could think was: oh my, how typically Dutch! Soooo ..I ended up taking one myself, simply for this blog, ghahaha.

Second pic actually read 'fries & shakes', but I like to think everything's nicer ..with shakes. Hence just photographing that part.

The third picture: giant squids in a mall. Try to top that one! Nah, it's one of the malls in my city centre and they always do it up w/ some sort of theme. Currently they got these octopusses hanging around (literally) and fish in little fisherboats. There's also some giant tuna's in the corridors. Thought I'd share all that w/ you guys.

Image #4 is easy, it's the traintracks that lead to and from the city I work in.

Fifth. A tree along the route I walk the dog at six in the morn. Today the sun made it look really green and with the bright blue sky in the background I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Last but not least is number six. Yesterday on my way to work there was this huge white & shiny truck parked at the side of the road. Now I'm a boy so I do like big clean rims. And this truck definately had some.

Yesh, I take pics of weird things. I'm not a photographer, I'm a snapshooter. Now go and enjoi the rest of your day. Rest assured I'll do the same.
