Jesus. People who know Daniel or who simply admire his work should read this.

Evidently, Daniel Robert Epstein died this morning. I didn't know him, but I did admire his work, and recently corresponded with him about a project of mine. This is shocking news. The article linked above has no details, but this blog entry (posted yesterday) is unsettling, to say the least.

I don't know if anyone will read this comment--but my heart goes out to his family and friends. My sincere condolences.

I just heard about Daniel's passing - my heart goes out to his family and friends. I always enjoyed reading Daniel's interviews and I now regret never telling him how appreciative I was of the work he did.

Godspeed, Mr. Epstein.
You lived an enviable life.

DRE will be dearly missed. He was an inspiration to me. His interviews and writings were always top notch and he was so free with his wonderful advice as well as his humor.

This is a great loss.
