Surgery scheduled for Monday for my back. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous as fuck.
I've come to the realization that I need to retire as a makeup artist, due to all this back shit. I honestly have not had much fun with it the last year or so. I don't have time or access to do the type of shoots I want, and with my recent back problems, bending/leaning over to work on a model is just something I can no longer do.
This makes me very sad for 2 reasons:
1) I really did love it.
2) I've spent far too much money on my kit and I feel like it has been such a waste.
Another reason I feel like I should retire is, in regards to my reasons for being sad, reason #2 makes me the most sad.
I will be selling my kit in the next few days to help with medical bills and to help recoup the thousands of dollars I have spent over the last 3-4 years. PM me if you have any interest.

New post. With more of my broken bits...
I may be a little obsessed. I just want to not feel like I'm 60 when I wake up and/or am at work.

Say hello to my broken bits:
(Bilateral fracture of L5)

Close up of bits:

And introducing, the beginning stages of osteoarthritis throughout my entire spine:

The first specialist I went to see says there is nothing I can do, and to just take pain killers. I'm in so much pain, I'm unable to work. I'm going for a second opinion on Wed.
How do you stay positive, when there is so much negative crap going on?
I try to stay positive, but I see bad people doing bad things and nothing happens. All this bad shit, just makes me want to do bad things.
I'm trying so very hard to be good.

I can't decide if I like Lady Gaga or not.
Her new single was incredibly disappointing. I can't help it, all I hear is "Express Yourself".
But this interview she did with 60 minutes, makes me love her a little bit.

Sleeve = Officially started after 3 hours. Mark Corliss at Spilt Milk Tattoo is quite frankly a tattoo god. I
him.
My left arm will be my "water sleeve". I have 2 butterfly koi (or long fin koi/carp) and 2 peony, and 1 peony bud. The original sketch fit perfect on my arm, but it was a wee bit small (ie: my arm was fatter than he anticipated lol) so now I have a whole blank section to add some other goodness. Here are some pics. I'll post more once it's healed.

This is just the beginning of some pretty extensive work I plan on getting. If you'd like, please follow me on my Tattoo Blog. Check back for more pics and other goodies
