Attended my fourth Cutthroats game last night. The team I was cheering for (Denver) finally won. Arizona lost the first two games I went to, and then Denver lost to the Brahmas after that. It was fun to finally enjoy a W in the Coliseum.

The Cutthroats gave away FOUR THOUSAND free tickets to boost attendance for last night's game against Wichita. With the W, I think the team gained quite a few fans. The noise is growing as well. I'm happy that the team is working so hard with the marketing to grow the fanbase. 19 more days until Arizona returns to the Coliseum. Hopefully this time they win.
I went with a "friend" of mine who I really didn't want to go with. I invited him on a whim and never heard back until an hour and a half before I had to be at the arena. He then invited a fuck ton of friends because we had all these free tickets. At first I didn't mind his friends, but during the 3rd period one of them got too rowdy. Section 133 has a little rep for shit talking the goalie, but this guy got pretty sexist about it. If the goalie isn't a friend of mine, I don't mind some fun chirping. One guy a few rows behind us would make the usual seive jokes and beach ball jokes. Regan (the tendy) fell at one point so of course the chirps wrote themselves. But sitting there and calling him a girl, a pussy (near a little girl, as well) and saying he has a gaping vagina is crossing the line. It took all I had to try and tune him out and focus on the game.
Possibly going to Des Moines next weekend. Plans and flights keep changing and I can't keep track anymore. My family has a Christmas party every holiday season just like the summer picnic that Reekie and I went to a few months ago. I'd like to attend but it will cost my dad a pretty penny to put the dogs in the kennel so I'm not pushing it. I just need to get Reekie here. The hardest part is that it could cost DOUBLE to fly her from Des Moines than Chicago and her parents won't drive her to Midway. They're always very difficult about her ever going anywhere ever. Its as if they think she's going to die the moment she leaves the state of Iowa or some shit. When parents are more difficult to deal with than an airline, you know they're doing something wrong.
Anyways, hopefully plans can start to get finalized so I can get her here for some hockey and beer and pizza and bad decisions. And hopefully I can afford all the games and the hotel and the food and such. Kinda hard trying to get help from a bunch of Grinches.
