I am back in town! Yay!
First of all: Next time I plan on attending a show in Omaha, I won't be staying with the Uncle who has two kids and lives on the other side of Omaha from all the fucking venues. This is my way of apologizing to those of you who I attempted to hunt down during the show, and then had to leave to make sure my Uncle didn't lock me out. BUT I am one happy fucking girl because, after five years, I GOT TO SEE FRANZ FERDINAND! [insert fangirl squeal here]
I loved Franz Ferdinand and I feel so bad that they had to open for sell-outs like Green Day. Obviously the FF performance would have been much better at Sokol, but I wasn't going to complain. I am still so pumped that I finally got to see one of my favroite bands since my freshman year of HS.
Flying to Killeen/Ft Hood is bullshit. DFW airport is GORGEOUS and very easy to navigate. I was so thankful. Arriving in Killeen was a mindfuck, since it appeared that Rob had ditched me. But he was just hiding around the corner. We ended up staying in Copperas Cove. Spent the first night in, playing video games with his roommate and his girl. Casa Ole for dinner, beer for dessert.
Saturday I got to shoot a gun for the first time with Rob and his boss. =D My tiny hands managed to gain control of a .45 and I hit paper on my first shot [ever] and in the end landed 27/30 rounds as kills. I watched the boys play for a while, and then let off a magazine with the M4. I had a BLAST. haha. I saved both of my targets! I'm still a bit too proud of it. The rest of that day was pretty fucking boring.
Left on Sunday, after a delayed flight and a very short stay in DFW. Drove around Omaha for 20 mins till Reekie and I found I80 and headed home to rest. It was a long weekend, even if all I REALLY did was shot a gun a few times. Rob's bed was so uncomfortable and I let him have the one pillow so my neck and shoulders are twice as messed up as usual. Yup, that's right....as the guest I still let him use the pillow. Part of the reason was because I can't stand to cuddle.
I'm glad to be home, I missed Reekie. Even if after the weekend she spent at home, she got an attitude back and continues to think I'm hurting her feelings. I don't need to deal with it. Now I get to spend the next few days watching endless amounts of Dexter in an attempt to flirt with Rob's boss.....and junk food. Well, one meal of junk food a day. I'm sick of stuffing my face. I need sleep.
