The other day I was able to hang out with another piercer which isn't something I get to do very often. Most people aren't interested in discussing the finer points of splitting a tongue in half, hanging yourself off meathooks, or removing large chunks of flesh with biopsy punches. She recommended that I check out a performance group called Swingshift Sideshow. Appearently they were on America's Got Talent. Here is the link it's pretty amazing.
Here is a picture heavy blog about the shop renovations and the grand reopening we had this weekend. Any pics I didn't take personally are linked from the shops Facebook page.

The Staff

The Grand reopening was a success. The turn out was good, we raised money for charity, and we all got belligerently drunk.

All the bands were fantastic. They played in the parking lot right outside the shop. My friend's band Radiothreat opened.

Followed by the Gutter Poets from Antelope Valley

Global Warning featured a guest appearance by one of our apprentices in a chicken suit.

Here they are again from the roof.

Last Priority and Dr. Know were fantastic but I was far too drunk to take any more pics at that point. As you can see in this picture of Jo and I.

The lovely Peas came out to visit and ended up letting me stab her again. I had been looking forward to this party for a while and had an absolute blast. There was a few hiccups but overall the night went great and the cops didn't shut us down. I'm not sure how much money we raised for the charity but I'll put that up as soon as I find out.

It is my day off today. I have things to do around the house that I might even get to later but for now I'm relaxing. I smoked, made coffee, and enjoyed the view.
The fliers for the reopening of the shop were posted recently.

I'm excited.

Vacation was a nice break and it was good to get home and see my family. I gorged on all manner of delicious home cooked food for a week and now it's time to get back to work. The majority of the remodeling was done by the time I came back to work on Tuesday but there are still little things in progress around the shop. Here are a few pics from back home.
