Perfect running weather in the evening now, cool and dry. hope to get up to 50 miles a week before fall, the old bones are holding up so far.

French grapes are growing fast now, lots of rain and hot sun, seems to be good for everything. The yellow cherry tree all survived the late frost as did the nuts, pears, and plums. Herb gardens are 2 feet tall already, need to plant the veggies soon. All Italian herlooms from now on, organic as possible, except for a few blue peruvian potatoes.

Still moving cars, the Alfa and Osca are the only ones that survived the march of time. Two of my baby FIATs were to rusty to salvage, had to send them to scrap. Too many projects anyway, hoping to get the '57 Alfa Giulietta back to nearly 100 points and that will be allot of work and money.

Life is good, have all I want and much more than I need.

Finally warm reliable running weather. i think Summer is here. I don't mind rain, but I hare cold, my hands take forever to get warm even with gloves, maybe mittens next winter.

The little French wineberries have come to life, a few more years and I should be swimin' in Chardanay.

Gonna expand the gardens this year, all organic heirloom this year, old Italian seed stock for tomatoes and peppers. The herb garden is pretty much all Mediterranean this year. Still trying to learn how to use them, cooking is getting easier and more fun.

Magnolia tree started to blossom yesterday, maybe Winter's over, really didn't have much of one this year tho. First year was able to run without gloves, so far global warming is good for me.

watched a recent remake of Odysseus on the Sci Fi channel last night. How could a guy get in so much trouble and so lost in a few hundred miles of closed coastline?!?

Snow, ice, it ain't over yet.

Think I'll go drink some white sangria, and eat some Ahi while dreaming of Cabo.

Looking up for 2012, gonna be a good year. I'm still healthy and strong, have a good training plan for another Marathon this fall, been a long time.

Still need to prune the vineyard and fruit trees, everything went wild this last Summer, trees are much too tall. The herb garden is still producing a little, most of the delicate stuff is gone. Oregano and Italian parsley just won't die.

Don't forget to register to vote early, the dark side doesn't want you to vote and will be trying to shut down the 99. Our do nothing Congress needs to be shown some reality and kicked to the street. I'm voting against everybody in Congress State and Fed, they are against everything I want for the World. Even tho he's not perfect, gonna vote for O again, if for no other reason than revenge.

Hoping Santa spoiled everybody shamelessly and that 2012 is the best ever for Y'all.

Everybody survive the gastronomic overload? I'm a veggie everyday but Thanksgiving so turkey is a serious shock to my system. 10 miles a day for a week should get it done tho. Need to get back into runnin' twice a day, the bones don't mind, but the will complains. Had a sore knee for a week about 25 years ago for about a week, don't remember any other injuries tho. Not as fast as I used to be, don't think my 4:15 mile will ever happen again, but never was a sprinter anyway, mostly a distance plodder, 26.2 still works.

The cat is helping me type, and she refuses to use spell check, so excuse the misfires. Strategic error on my part to give the house matriarch half and half instead of milk, now she's addicted and will not go back. Cats are always in denial and will not respond to therapy, rewiring is not available.

The farm and vineyard are now dormant, the last rose fell off last week, just a few diehard herbs hangin' in.

Allot of beautiful photosets in MR lately, too bad they can't all be on the front page. I'm finding that natural light is a subset of my addiction, adding to Ukrainian ballet dancers, I hope to survive.

Rain is gone, sun is showing a bit, Jr coming home from University for the long weekend. We don't see him much but we know he's OK 'cause his debit card slowly leaks out.

Hoping everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Run a few miles to cancel the mashed potatoes, pie and general excess.
