Well, today's the last day of the month. And thanks to my EI application STILL being held up in limbo, I will be forced to spend beyond my means in order to ensure I can do what I need to do and get what I'd like to get for the coming week.
Which means, unless things turn around VERY quickly, there's a good chance I'll be out of money by the end of the year.

It's one of those good news/bad news situations.
First, the good news: went down to WorkBC today for an appointment, and got signed up for some workshops that will, hopefully, lead to me getting a new job soon.
Bad news: My EI application is STILL in limbo, meaning I will be forced to do something tomorrow I really don't want to do unless it gets approved by then. And of course, with all the stress in my life, I'm starting to succumb to stress headaches and developing an upset stomach.
Hopefully things will turn around soon. Please?

Went down to Service Canada today to find out why EI application is still in limbo. Turns out that they need to contact my former manager before they can finalize it.

Well, I contacted head office today about why I haven't gotten my holiday pay, and it turns out that I DID get it two weeks ago. Unfortunately, it raises even more questions, as I was told that I had over $650 in unspent pay, which meant that, after deductions, I should have had something in the order of $500. Instead, I got just under $200.
This means one of two things: I was either lied to about how much money I had, or I was taxed way too much for it. Either way, it doesn’t make me happy.
And my EI application is STILL in limbo, which is ridiculous, since it should have been processed by now.

It seems like my life for the past month has been one long, unending string of crap that life doesn't seem to want to make any effort to stop. And to top off everything else, my faith in humanity and human nature took a massive kick in the balls today from which it may never recover.
I was on the bus on my way home from my usual weekend trip into Vancouver, when all of a sudden some dumbass gets up and starts attacking some young woman sitting upfront. It was totally unexpected and all I could really do is sit there and be disgusted by what happened.
A while ago on Facebook, one of my friends shared a pic that said "Stress is caused by giving a ****." Well, that seems to me like a perfectly good reason to stop.
Hopefully I can pick up the pieces of this crappy day and try to have a good night and rest of the weekend.

Got a phone call last night (didn't notice it till five minutes ago, on account of my cell phone being set on silent) and it turns out to have been from an A and W near where I live. Hopefully this means I'll be back to work soon.
