It feels SO great to be energized and happy. I had almost forgotten how good it feels.
Got lots of things I want to accomplish in the near future. It should be fun to see how it all pans out.

Well, the last episode of season five of Star Wars: The Clone Wars aired today, and I'm pretty sure it's the last one overall, for reasons I'll get into in a minute. Now, I'm going to talk about the episode in general, so continue on after the spoiler tag if you dare.
I've been depressed for a very long time, and it's seemed to have gotten worse in the last couple of months. Of course, a large part of the problem was loosing my job back in October, which didn't help my self-esteem at all, but since then, I’ve been finding it incredibly difficult to find things to enjoy in my life. Lately I can’t do anything without asking myself “is this a good idea?” I have to constantly be thinking about how things might go bad, because I haven’ seen any indication that things might actually turn out good.
Sometimes I just wonder if I should just crawl into a hole and never come out. Would anyone miss me? Would anyone care?

What I learned this weekend, best summed up from a classic Simpsons episode.
It's amazing the things you find at used video shops. These days, they're the only place where I can find games for my vintage systems. (To give you some idea as to what I consider "vintage", my newst console is a Gamecube.) Just yesterday, I was at a store in Port Coquitlam and came across one of my favourite games ever.

I like the first two Rogue Squadron games. And I like this one. But...this one's a little clunky, if you ask me. It feels less like its own game and more like an expansion of Rogue Leader. At least two levels feel as if they continue on from levels in that game, and the on foot levels aren't as great as the flight levels.
Still, it's a good game, and I'm glad I bought it.

So Toy Fair 2013 is happening this weekend, and they announced the Transformers figures that will be coming out this year from Hasbro.
We got Voyager Blitzwing and Springer to look forward to.
Plus Trailcutter/Trailbreaker, Orion Pax, Megatron and Bumblebee. (The latter two being based on the designs used in Mike Costa's ongoing series.)
And last, but by no means the least...
Titan Class Metroplex, unseating G1 Fortress Maximus as the largest Transformer ever made.
To Hasbro, I only have one thing to say...

As much of a fan of the Clone Wars animated series as I am, I'm not terribly thrilled at its willingness to take the thirty years of Expanded Univese history that was built up prior to its creation and shit all over it. That having been said, I have to say that the last four episodes have more than made up for it, mostly because it finally got around to solving one of the bigger continuity screw ups (and one of the ones it actually COULD fix, rather than just trying to paper over the previous evidence of the same event.)
And from the last episode: the duel between Sidious, Maul and Savage...to quote Joey Styles...
(Vid of the actual event below the SPOILER tag, to avoid giving it away to those who haven't seen it yet.)

This blog is going to be a bit of a downer, I'm sorry. But it's something I've been thinking about for a while and have to get off my chest.
I don't really consider myself to be "sexy". There's a reason why I joined the The UGLY ONES and Big Cuddly Boys groups. Calling myself "cuddly" would be generous, and my face isn't exactly what I would call beautiful. I often wonder if I should post photos of myself even half dressed, because I have to wonder how people would react to the sight of me. I don't like how I look, so why should I think anyone else would?
Again, sorry for the downer blog, but it's something I felt I had to say.
