What Do I Fear

I do not fear what is known of death
Perhaps just mindlessly awaiting it

What is told of death is absolutely unknown
Only afraid of nothingness when this life is over

Ultimately fearing the limitations of the human mind
Destined to an end designed to possibly cut short greatness

Every set of the billions of individual eyes
Gaze at the same glow of our radiant moon

Night after night until the body ceases to reawake
As the mind rots in the grave with its last dying thoughts

How scary it is to believe there is no new beginning
After such a beautiful life ending

I got my hair cut and colored ♥

I am the grass that softly molds beneath my feet
Standing, walking, running till I am free
I am the sun that shines down upon me
A kiss of warmth on nature’s beauty

I am a sensation of the breeze on my skin
Cool tickle of a million year old wind
I am the body of a woman with sin
Practically nothing without this soul within

I am laughter that sings in your ears
Hiding the evidence of pain filled tears
I am emotion built up over years
Old wise eyes look back from aged mirrors

I am from peace as well as from war
Feeling hate because love hurts more
I am damned to death, in an otherwise perfect world
Awaiting my fate, simply grateful to be born

I am the entire story as it is told
Curious beginning to an end unknown
I am the earth on which we exist
I am human and I have lived
