A nice weekend, got a nice break from work, and a chance to see some friends and family we haven't seen in a while.
The Ducati Monster has just about 50k miles on it. I hope it keeps going until I can afford a new motorcycle.

It's been raining. Which in general I support, but in specific annoys since it's making it hard to enjoy riding the motorcycle.

Just got back from a three week trip to Africa (Egypt and Tanzania). It was amazing, cruised the upper Nile, spent a few days in Cairo, then flew south to Zanzibar for a few relaxing days in Stone Town and on the beach, then flew to Kilimanjaro and drove through Ngorogoro Crater, and the Serengeti Parks. Lastly a few days relaxing at my Parent's house in Mwanza.
It was a trip of a lifetime. Getting to see the ancient ruins of Egypt and the wonders of the Serengeti in person, was breath taking.
I had several heart stirring moments, listening to the evening call to prayer while in Coptic Cairo standing on the steps of St. George was one. Another was watching the sun rise over the Indian Ocean on the East coast of Zanzibar. I could go on, but I'll save something to go with the pictures.

My motorcycle had a mechanical failure on September 30th while on Hwy 101 about 30 miles north of Santa Barbara.
I now have a steel plate and ten screws in my left leg holding my Tibia together, and if I'm lucky I'll be walking by Christmas.
Not the most fun I've ever had, but it could have been so much worse.

My Grandmother passed away last week and we went to the funeral yesterday. It was hard, but good to see family.

I had to go to Anaheim for work last week, and decided to ride my motorcycle down the Coast. It was amazing. It's so green right now, and the weather was good, nice and sunny, sometimes I had to slow down and just gape at the beauty.
It was almost worth being stuck in Anaheim for 2 days...
