While driving home from El Paso yesterday, I was presented with a dilemma... The band I am in was asked to do a show on the 18th. I am scheduled for a trip to Washington from the 11th through the 24th.

If I go on the trip, I will get away from the area for a couple of weeks, have some extra cash, and complete some training for my younger members...

If I stay, I play with the band, get some extra cash, and be with my wife during an important time of the month...

Not sure what to do... I guess I'll start with seeing if someone can replace me on the trip first...

Found out yesterday that we need to head to El Paso today... The wife has another Dr appt. We love El Paso so the short-notice 6 hr drive is okay.

SG is on a roll with the sets... All of the girls are beautiful and are creating great sets.

Almost had a "Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite" moment yesterday.... I was extremely hot and wanted to shave my head... But didn't.

Much has happened since last post... The band has no live show this weekend. After learning 20 songs in two weeks, I get to play for no one...

I've grown my hair out... It is turning into a 'fro because I don't know how to have it cut.

Going on a 2 week trip to Seattle in a couple weeks... Love Washington.

Also, (saving the best for last) my wife is now pregnant!!! After 4 years of trying, it has finally happened!

Another band practice today... Did okay yesterday until I found out that I have a total of about 50 songs I have to learn... So about 30 songs I need to learn in 6 days.

Also need to plug my truck tire today, do some college homework, and go for a run... No time.

The wife wanted to watch the meteor shower last night but the trees were blocking the view so I drove her to the baseball fields. We sat in the darkness for about 30 minutes and saw only a few, but she was happy.

Practicing with the band tomorrow... Less than a week before I am on stage with my bass. The show in Florida was cancelled so I have a little less stress now...

My body is sore... Fortunately I have 2 days before lifting weights again. Still running tomorrow, though...

Wife played Skyrim today... The PS3 kept freezing on her though. May try to finish Mass Effect 3 this weekend if I can find any time.

Exciting news in our boring lives. I have joined a band, my first show is in a week and a half and the wifey is going blue.

Back to day shifts for the rest of the week... Back still hurts and have stuff I need to move to storage as well as mowing the yard this week.

Wife just woke up... Meaning I can go play music loudly now.

I hate quickly switching to a night schedule... I get a lot of free time, but I get too tired to effectively do my job on the first night. Then I have to switch back to the day the next day... Love my sleep aids.

Took both of our dogs for a run/walk today... The puppy and I got into a race. I let her win... Our male (Vedder) kept getting thorns in his paws so we had to stop and help him constantly.

My back is still recovering from the weekend... I hate massages but the wife loves to give them so I may have to let her...

Also have to fix our awkwardly shaped living room... The wife tried to move it around but no good arrangement is happening...
