i dropped my car off for an oil change this morning. around 11 i got a call saying my brakes were so worn down that they wouldn't pass the md state inspection and that i would need new rotors as well. ok, fine. i knew i was gonna need to get new brakes soon. i asked him how much it would cost. brace yourselves....he said "around $485"
are you fucking kidding me? i just got my routine maintenance done there maybe 2 months ago and it was only slightly more expensive than that. there's no way new brake pads and maintenance are in the same fucking ballpark, money wise.
i asked around and so far, the best quote i got was $286. a hell of a lot cheaper, but still. i need to make friends with a mechanic or, as i said, get a sugar daddy. ack.
