I need to post far more often. Always the friend, never the lover, always the brother figure, never the lover. I may never understand girls (and maybe thats the problem, they have not yet become women and may never) that bitch about the asshole they are dating, and have this fantasy about some consummate gentleman.
This hapless fellow, gentleman that he is, stumbles into her life and they become friends(why this is an issue later I also do not understand). ((I am patting myself a bit on the back here as I do have my testosterone moments but they are fairly rare)). In time this girl breaks up with the asshole, or maybe even a decent guy but not quite what she envisioned.

CG, as we will call him, after some time of separation or extended period of single status professes interest in his lovely, now available friend. She takes 10 minutes to respond and, much to his experienced dismay, utilizes the most cliche line in existence. I really love.......... <being said qualities>, and I don't want to lose you as a friend, you are so.....<said qualities/behaviors> to me and I can not imagine losing that

That is what perturbs me the most! Some guys may become assholes eventually and i recognize that but the line is used sooooooo fucking often it sickens me. I have heard plenty of my friends tell stories of their fathers telling them to, "Be nice to the nerdy girls in high school, they will be beautiful in there 20's and beyond, the cheerleaders will be fat crack whore's". Obviously that is a blanket statement and not always true as a result. However, it is true often enough it is worth the so called "risk", and if it does not work out then the break up will be painful. But, if love is not painful it is not worth pursuing.

Please, someone, tell me that I am crazy or that there are women that actually want a gentleman and someone who will actually honor them without being patronizing, you know-that whole "equal status" thing. I am right fucking here, give one a goddamned chance! I admit, this frustrates me to no end, although this is not just for me. Women deserve a man that will treat them well and not like baby factories, house cleaners, cooks or whatever. EQUALS DAMNNIT!! Fuck you misogynistic douchebags, your dick does not make you better, in many ways it makes you worse!

Finally, this is how my great-grandmother raised me to treat people not only gender, gender-identity and sexual preference but also without regard to ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. I am not perfect by any stretching of the definition of the word but I strive daily to truly understand everyone as much as possible. I do hope in my interaction here with all of you that I come across that way and if I do not then i demand criticism. Not the "fuck you prick" variety, but the positive kind we all need. Well well, tomorrow is the first day of school for me and, since it will be syllabus day i do hope that each class is shorter than they will be the rest of the semester. Believe it or not I am totally looking forward to school actually starting.
Tomorrow evening, after 11 hours of school, is my little brother's bachelor party. School all day and drinking all night! Hell yeah, I can still do that at 29 right? The wedding practice is friday and the wedding is on saturday....This week is quite busy for me, but I love it! A busy life is a satisfied life. So long as most of the busyness is created by myself I loooooove it! How has every one else's new year been so far? I do hope that its going well for everyone!!

I may be the only one and therefore a loon but I am actually excited about school getting started. It may have a lot to do with living under my parents' roof for a few more months whilst recovering from an awful 2010. May can not come quickly enough!!
So is anyone else excited about school starting? Another tidbit is that my break was just not as awesome as I had hoped mainly due to the travesty that was my trip to Virginia. The Blind Guardian show was basically the only saving grace. This band is amazing live! If anyone has a chance to see them and have not yet, please go!

Why is science so awesome? Because it shows us the majesty of reality! I have long discarded religion as an explanation of anything. Religion is useful only for comfort, beyond that it becomes quite dangerous. Too many(all) wars are based on religious ideology and arrogance. Divine command is often used as an excuse but it is simply human arrogance under a thin guise.
Generally speaking I am not opposed to religion, I am opposed to destroying life and overwhelming weaker countries in the name of spreading some religious truth(falsehood). What really bothers me is that many people ignore reality and replace it with some fantasy about an afterlife. Reality is soooooooo fucking amazing......If there is an afterlife it is beyond my ability to comprehend how it can be more amazing than what we live in now! Enjoy what we have and live as fully as possible! I love you all, Have a fantastic New Year!!!!

Methinks i should post a blog more often. My finals are all over and I am mostly excited. Mostly because i failed my fucking math class. And when i say failed, i really failed. The course requires a minimum score of 70 of 100 to pass and i only got a 45. A fucking 45!! I have never been a math wiz but I did not think i was this bad.....Oh well.....Knock the dust off my feet and do it again!
Next semester I will not be taking it as my schedule is already full but next fall I will win!

5 more days and this semester is over! 7 days and I will be in Northern VA for 6 days, i can not wait! 3 of my 4 finals are still ahead of me but I am not worried about them, i've been doing pretty damn well so far so i am confident i will be passing all these classes with excellent grades.
In other news I now have a date to my brothers' wedding! YAY!

Whew, finals are starting to weigh on me.....However, I will get through it! Psychology is actually my easiest class, i guess it should be since its my major. :-p My speech class, yeah, that just needs to end....I don't mind giving speeches. My teacher is terribly boring and treats us like little children......Math is, well, math and i am decent at it but still, it gets overwhelming!! The bright spot of course is that i will be in Northern Va from the 28th to the 24th and on the 22nd going to see Blind Guardian At the Jaxx in Springfield! HELL YEAH!!! If anyone wants to go, Jaxx Club, there are only 60 tickets left! get yours while you can!!! Also, i still have an extra ticket and no one to use it, so if anyone near wants to go let me know. :[-D

Tomorrow will be the day that I will finally have time to start being more active. I have only been here about a week but hey, time to get to some people rather than just have a friends list of people that I dont talk to. That ruins the point of a social site such as this, and such a beautiful place it is!
