I called in sick today, but I'm not sick. I just didn't feel like throwing on the khakis and spending today with the other IT drones.

So..............who wants to come over and hang out? I have chips & beer, and I'm pretty sure I can scare up some porn.

My life flashed before my eyes late this morning.

I was on my 2nd bike ride of the spring. I was going along at a pretty good clip, just riding out of Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. I was just coming back into traffic, and this dude cut me off in his car. I applied my back brake and nothing happened. I had to brake entirely with my front brake and almost flew over the handlebars. Upon inspection at home I found the back brake pad is bent and barely making contact with the rim. That's what I get for not having the bike checked out, I guess. I dropped it off at Eric the Bike Man and should have it back shortly.

Hey, my gorgeous friend Rydell is Pink! Go congratulate her, she deserves it.

Also, my beautiful friend Maedusa went live last week. Please go check out her set, she is stunning.

Sunday morning: listening to Thelonious Monk and reading the funnies; life doesn't always suck, I guess.

Day Two of Dreaded Spring Cleaning is complete. The floors are vacuumed and cleaned. I even swept the garage! Thanks to BlueRabbit for the inspiring words.

My dear friend PaleEnchantress is having surgery tomorrow. Please wish her well.

Day One of the dreaded Spring Cleaning: Dusting, is complete. All the cobwebs in the corners are gone. I dusted under every picture frame, every book, every THING. Dusting is my least favorite chore, I am glad it's over.

Day Two will be Wednesday; the dreaded Move Every Piece Of Furniture And Vacuum Under And Around It Day. Stay tuned.

I am disappointed in you people.

The new set by Abjectly is sensational, but her low comment count is criminal. Look again, she's adorable!
Abjectly - Downloaded

Also, Colada's rejected set is now 2nd all-time in comments (hopefuls-wise, that is). Yet her set is not posted. Rise up and demand more Colada.

If you think I post these sets so I can avoid talking about my nonexistent personal life, you're probably right.

Who wants Cake?

Today I will finish Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. I have successfully been able to avoid any Season 4 happenings. If anybody attempts to mention any Season 4 happenings today while in my general vicinity I will rip out their larynx. No offense.

One year has passed since you were taken from us.
Sometimes it feels like you have been gone forever. Sometimes it feels like I just saw you yesterday.

I think about you every day.

Always,
Gregg

Rod Stewart was cool in the '70s, ya know. A badass, even. He didn't always suck.

I remember being a kid in the summertime during the '70s, it was wonderful. I would leave the house at about 8am and not return until dinner. You and your friends would walk along the railroad tracks kicking bottles and crushing cans. Then it was off to go shoot hoops at the YMCA and ride to Blue Boy to chow down on those awesome frozen icee thingies. Then it was off to the field behind the Boys Home for a rousing afternoon of kite fighting. We would ride our bikes everywhere, it was unheard of for anybody to be dropped off by their parents. I did not know one obese kid, we were all thin as rails and happy as clams.

Those were the days.
