Headed to Brooklyn in the morning. A couple days to hang out with friends and then I start my new job Monday.

Training/onboarding/orientation takes place in the main office in NY, but I'll still work out of the D.C. office.

Off to Charlotte for a few days. Happy holidays, everyone.

Just saw The Hobbit. Loved it overall but being very nit-picky right now on certain aspects - so I'll keep most thoughts to myself for the time being.

The dwarves are all fantastic and The Riddle scene is wonderful.

What do I want to do with my life? I was let go from my account side advertising agency position last Tuesday. I am just over a semester in to a masters program in Publications Design at the University of Baltimore (love it) and need to pay the bills.

I've already been approached about opportunities with other agencies but I'm convinced it just won't make me happy or fulfill me.

I'll focus on my InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator final project for my computer graphics class (due tonight) and then think about everything else.

Happier this week than last.

Woke up at noon after going to sleep at 11:30 pm. Now that was a lovely short-term coma. I will be groggy all day today.

This week will mark my one year anniversary at the agency I work for. Maybe things will change, but I don't anticipate being there for the start of 2013. I long to be able to focus on one company and primary message that filters down instead of jumping around like Q-Bert from meeting to meeting, shifting gears and strategies in the blink of an eye.

Tomorrow starts another week.

If I want to surprise my wife with some cool lingerie does anyone have good suggestions that aren't just the regular stores?
