I was reminded of this old schtick that I had heard years ago. The joke is "Who's cruel joke was it to put an 's' in the word 'lisp'?"
I think I figured out why lisp has to have an s. It's because, as it is, saying whether or not you have a lisp is, in itself, evidence to whether you have a lisp or not.
