Another weekend ruined beforehand.
That's the third weekend in a row they're making me work.
What kind of a slave contract did I sign?
If any of the Brisbane people reads this, is there something going on in town this weekend.
I was actually planning for a weekend away so I didn't watch out for entertainment.

Other than that not much happened in my life, at least nothing worth mentioning.

I'm thinking of seeing the Revival Tour at the zoo tomorrow.
Anyone else going by chance?

Ok, first of all, No Fun At All were great, so were the Flatliners. Didn't get to hear too much of the two opening bandes because the sound was terrible.

Second, I don't get people. Why on earth would you go to a concert to get so drunk that all you can do in a moshpit is fall over again and again?
where's the fun in that? please, someone tell me!
Also, why do you get real glasses and bottles at a concert? Thats just too dangerous for my taste.

That being said, does anyone notice how the bands you once loved get older and older?
Today, when I saw NFAA they were a couple old men, rocking old men for sure, but old nonetheless.
Still, I can remember buying my first NFAA cd in the late 90ies and here we are, 15 years later, my taste hasn't changed a bit.
Then again, even if they're old, they kicked ass and I'm just as sore as I would have been 15 years ago.

Hello everyone...

another work week here comes to a close and I still didn't do the real job I came over here for.
However I am happy to report that my tanning process is progressing satisfactory and I am no longer the palest (is that really a word) person in the company house.
We got a new roommate last night, a very nice and quite funny English dude.
He's cooking a vegetarian curry for the whole house right now, which is a fine way to get into my good graces.
Tomorrow work is supposed to start up finally so I will probably be too tired to write anything new then.
All I can say, and not often enough I suppose, is that I love it here.
I think it's the climate, I mean, how can you be grouchy when it's so beautiful and warm and the sun is shining.

People here are so tan, I feel like a ghost.
First week in Australia is almost over.
I've gotten used to the job, but I'm still using 50+ sunscreen.
Brisbane is a great city, the people are really nice and I love that I don't have to wear five different kinds of jackets out.
I'm really looking forward to my first weekend, my roommates want to take me surfing.

On a completely different topic, I hate the new schedule for Psych.
My saturdays during the last few years used to start on a high note, watching shawn and gus do their thing.
Now it's changed and I don't like it.
Not one bit.
Now there's nothing to do on saturdays.

a cool new job, no more freezing.
can't wait.

it's always the same. you go out drinking, have a couple too many, wake up the next day and feel lousy.
someone should invent alcohol that doesn't mak you sick the day after because not drinking or drinking less isn't really an option.
but the fun i had last night was well worth today's pain, i just hope it goes away soon.

soooo hungry but I'm way too tired to go to the store and get some stuff and too broke to order in.
maybe I'll just take a nap and the feeling goes away.
