So this weeks been a bit up and down. Still not much work about, just bits and pieces here and there which is really bumming me out at the moment. That said, had work before college on tuesday, making me late (slightly) but then i got absorbed in to the rush of trying to plasterboard my whole bay out really quickly ready for plastering, and ended up mixing an entire bag of dry wall adhesive instead of plaster (felt like a right mug) before i realised my mistake. But turns out the tutor was gonna show us how to use it, with a dot and dab technique and i'd done him a favour by mixing it up. Huzzah!!!! on the down side it didnt really leave me any time to plaster, and with the lesson i missed the other week due to traffic, time is running out for me to perfect my skills.
On a brighter note, Milan Tattoo convention this weekend, provided snow doesn't get in the way of our flight tomorrow morning, at the ungodly hour of 6am. And speaking with the tattooist, he want me to go pretty much straight to the convention to get started. Spoke to him on the phone last night though, and he seems like a decent bloke, i fucking hope so with the commitment i've made, and we both seem to be looking forward to the work planned.
Been flat/house hunting for a while now, and speaking to independant financiers, it's bad bad news. As i went self employed last year, there is no way i can get a mortgage for the next year at least, and maybe two, which means we have to have it based entirely on the other halfs salary, and therefore can't afford a place quite as big as we had hoped for. Damn the south for being so frickin expensive.
Saw this earlier, and made me smile for some reason.

not only coz they were having trouble with their motor in this weather too, but because i was taking the photo while driving behind them "look mom no hands!!"
Hope everyone has a good weekend, and i'll post some photos of the back peice when i'm back from Milan.
Don't go changing to try and please me peoples

Getting really excited Milan Tattoo show is nearly here. Next weekend. Can't wait to see my design, and maybe a little apprehensive about having to sit for so long in one sitting, havent done that in a while

Such a lot has happened since the last update.
Rock the Cradle was a success, in my head it was going to be the most massively successful event ever! This didn't happen, and on the night i was a little disappointed. But the bands all loved it and said they would work with me again, most of the people that turned up have since asked me when i will be doing another one, and the Venue management have asked me if i will organise one a month. So i guess that proves that it was a success, even if we only raised 200 quid in the end after costs.
Then there was Download, which was awesome, first festival i haven't gone in a group, it was just me and the gf. I actually found that we got around to seeing more bands than i would usually. It was a shame i missed the mini sguk meet as i was in the area, obviously just slightly the wrong time. I'm now eagerly anticipating the other festivals that im going to this summer.
Finding work is now a double egded sword. I've only got a week left of the college course, i've got some leads on finding work in that area of trade, but i also might have the oppertunity of going full time at my part-time job, something i have done for years, and the extra cash would be useful for booking up more courses, and thus increasing my chances of finding electrical work. It really is a difficult one to call, not only that, but only working part-time at the moment means i can watch nearly all of the world cup
And the World Cup...........the World Cup. Why? why? why? ever world cup the media, nay sayers, unbelievers, they make the England team out to be heros one minute and villians the next. THIS IS ENGLAND, we will always believe that they will win, they will always give us some dodgey performances, if they can leave it till the last minute to reward us they will, and if they do disappoint there will always be a controversial reason as to why we didn't perform the way the whole nation hoped. This is what being an England supporter is all about, so keep the faith, build those boys up and cheer them one, don't jump on the band wagon of knocking them down for performing the way they always have THIS IS ENGLAND.
Ok i'll get down off my soap box now

If i'm totally honest i think i'm a little nervous about this charity gig ive organised, I got things covered, venue, bands, comedians, advertising, press release ect, i'm just want it to be a success and for us to raise some decent money for the charity

Its like throwing a party and then waiting to see who will turn up.
It still feels like there is stuff up in the air, when really i have most bases covered (i think, i probabily have forgotton something).
The other thing is that it is bringing together different groups of friends that don't usually mingle, which should be great, but i know i'll want to have a drink (probabily several and some shots with everyone) and i know i should really stay focused incase there is any issues.
fuck it, thats all thats left to say, i'm sure it will go ok.....................................................i really really hope it goes ok

As predicted Brighton got pretty messy last week after watching the Bronx. The band were fucking awesome live. Ended up booking into a hotel as the mate we were supposed to stay with had an interview the following day. Ended up in the pavtav, lots of jagermeister, although how are you supposed to do jager bombs with no shot glasses?? the barmaid just put a jager test tube in the glass and told us that was it??? HELLO, how does that work?
Nevermind, found out that it is actually more difficult to get people to do shots of strongbow than it was jager, maybe i should stop buying drinks for random peeps as it didn't go down well with everyone, and should have eased of the jager as not everyone appreciated streaking on the beach at 4 in the morning. Ho-hum
Spent today trying to organise my charity gig, i've got the venue, 5 bands, 3 comedy acts, got a mail shot organised locally, got some of the raffle prizes (if anyone has anything/ works for anyone that has anything that would make a good raffle prize then that would be cool), i'm trying to find a printer to print flyers and posters at a reasonable price/ or free.
Wish me luck as time seems to just flyby when your trying to organise something like this. I've organised several big events now, and i always underestimate how long things take when your not paying people to do stuff.
