My new son is only about 4 months old and is already 27" and weighs over 20 lbs. The kid is a bruiser.

Well Jan 11, 2012 my son was born by C-section and 1020 am and at a weight of 9 lbs 2 oz. He was a big one.

I am so proud and happy and he looks just like me.

We finally made it home. We arrived in LAX at 1110 Tuesday night. It was a long hard road but it is over and I am on leave unitl February. It will be nice to get some relaxing time in.

Well we got out of Atlanta but now we are stuck in Ft Lewis. This is what happens when civilians run things for the Army. If the Demob was Army run, it would be at least a 6 day per week operation and it would be 0800 to 1600, not civilians, Monday thru Friday 0800 to 1530, no weekends or holidays. So now we are stuck here all weekend with nothing to do. And if we don't get out by Tuesday we will probably be here until next Tuesday because of Thanksgiving.

He Army, don't let the civilians run you and don't let them run your Soldiers. It is time the Army took back control of its workforce. Enough with the GS employees, they need to be Army employees answerable to the Army and the Soldiers, they need to have Soldiers as their bosses.

I am stateside. I am stuck in Atlanta right now but will be at Ft Lewis tomorrow and begin the Demob process to get back to my home in CA and back to my family.

Baby, Monday I sign over all my equipment to someone else and then we book flights home. We will be home for Thanksgiving and I will be on leave until after Xmass and New Years. I can't wait to have some time off.

Thank God that this tour is over, I know we volunteered to stay longer but I am glad it is over.

I had a heart to heart with my Commander and he agreed to put me in for the Bronze Star. I have been told since we are in Kuwait and do not directly support combat operations in Iraq, that they ususally get down graded. Well I have run the mail terminal that send mail into southern Iraq. We support about 11 bases in Iraq. Without us their mail doesn't get there. But I explained that with troop levels dropping this may be my last deployment here and who knows what will happen in the future, there may not be anymore conflicts for awhile.

Plus I have a camp that will take the majority of the troops coming out of Iraq in the draw down. I have had to expand my Post Office there to support triple the permanent party and a total of about 5-6 times its normal population. How is that not supporting troops in Iraq.

So we will see, I definately feel a little better now. So we will see what happens. If it gets downgraded I can live with it, I don't have to like it but I can live with it.

Well today just sucked. I found out that the LTC is not recommending me for a BSM (Bronze Star Medal) even though I have gone way above and beyond the call of duty starting with coordinating a group of 8 of my Soldiers and myself to stay an extra 6 months so that Kuwait had enough personnel in my job set to do its mission. After that I solved another manning gap by taking over a 2nd job that I should not even be involved in. I have created a plan to increase the size of our operation in support of the Iraq draw down in a way that we can fall back onto our original footprint after the draw down is over and not show any excess damage to the area.

I have increased the size of 1 of my operations and upgraded its facilities and I am working to relocate another of my locations to a much better facility. I have overseen a contract worth of 10 million. All I had to do was go home in May, but I felt that I could help more and my family agreed to let me stay.

And now I get this bullshit. I wrote the damn award, all he had to do was sign it and send it to the COL. I know that there are pieces of shit out there that are going to get a BSM because they know someone or they are in the right slots or based solely on their rank, not what they have done.

Don't get me wrong, I go outside the base all the time but this is Kuwait and there is not much risk of being attacked here, but I could the award I will get by sitting at my desk, just because I am a CPT. This just really sucks, this is the 2nd time I deserved it and will be passed up for it, and it just may be my last chance to get one.

Sorry, but this is the only safe place that I can't vent about the military. Most people use Facebook but I have some of my Soldiers are my friends and I can't let them see their Commander bitching about their BT Commander.

What a downer, I just saw that Rigel is no longer active on the site. I really wish there was some way that all there old stuff would stay up and not just their pics.

So tell me, How is it that the World Court will not issue an arrest warrant for a standing Dictator, that every one in the world knows is committing Human Rights Violations, and the U.N. will stand by and only issue sanctions, only making things worse on the people of that country, and not truly effection the Dictator in any way shape or form? But let NATO or the U.S. Military step in and kick that Ruler out of power and the Word Court wants to issue arrest warrants right away.

Why won't the World Court issue an arrest warrant for a country's ruler while he is in power?

They are all big and bad after someone has no power. But while they are in power apparently they think it's ok to let them do what they want to their subjects.

It istime to get rid of the U.N. and the World Court because neither one of them work. The U.N. will crumble if the U.S. pulls its money out of it.
