There are so many LoTR games! And, holy fucking shit, but Magic the Gathering is pretty much the only thing the gamer geeks are doing in Burlington VT. Yes, I cowboyed up and went, incarnate or IRL, to the only game shop of which I know in my area. I did, to be honest, already know that MtG was all the folks do here. Blahsville. The visit was hysterical though. Pretty much on par for any stereotype of gamers and shops I could think of, I was not greeted, not approached, not asked any questions as to interests, and not wished a good day on my departure. I was laughing inside the entire time.

O, I agree, having watched (but not played)Magic, I have no interest. Snobby, I know. But, I was raised, if you will, on AD & D, with a smattering of Call of Cthulhu. My quirks aside, thank you, I am looking forward to playing.

I wouldn't say snobby, I'd say you have your own standards! ;)  Hope you'll like the game.  :)
