I've seen potential for the former, but more evidence of the latter. Thing is, to be strong and independent you need to...be independent, then build up strength. Some people have that situation foisted upon them, but it's a tough gig, so most choose what seems to be the easier path. In the short term it usually is, but it's addictive, too, and difficult to throw off for many reasons even when the situation becomes punishing.

That seems difficult to reconcile with your image here of strong, well articulated opinions in the forums which you certainly do not seem shy about voicing; But you're still young and I think in time you will find your actions matching your spirit. Don't beat yourself up over it, but do make a habit of taking stock of your true worth to those who take you for granted, maybe that will help.

You know I tend to see or want to see SG's as these powerful girls who know who they are and know what they want. They're strong and confident, but I've come to find out some are vulnerable just as any other girl. And in some cases more vulnerable than most.

if it makes you feel any better, a lot of people tend to think of me as a pretty nice guy, but i kinda hate most people and consider myself an asshole.

i guess the point is that people see what they want to see. hell, just look at how many people are in relationships that dont work for proof.
