I would post more, but I'm saddened at the moment. I've just discovered that one of my fellow ADV's died this weekend. Adways was struck by a car while riding his motorcycle and killed instantly. He leaves behind a wife and son. No other information known. Other fellow ADVers know how great he was... he donated a nice sum of money to help with the last litter of of rescue puppies I had (who all needed serious medical treatment) and sent numerous pms offering to help in any way he could, even though he lived hundreds of miles away. He was an outstanding guy.
On top of that, several road riders were struck and killed by a drunk driver in Mexico during a road race.
And two fellow DFW cyclists were struck and killed by a drunk driver on Sunday.
So this is me BEGGING you people who drive cars and trucks... PLEASE keep your eyes open for cyclists and bikers. We have every right to be on the road, and we're probably enjoying ourselves more than you can know. Don't get upset and try to hurry us on just because we're not in a hubbub and rush of every day life like you are. Don't hang shit in your mirror so you can't see us, don't have a "few" and then drive home. LOOK for cyclists and bikers... we're a lot more predominant than you think.
