Who's watching the Derby? I would really love to see Eight Belles win, just cause she's a filly, but my money is on Pyro or Gayego. Don't think Big Brown will take it cause he doesn't do well typically on dirt and he has bad feet.
EDIT: Big Brown won. I wonder how long those bad feet will hold up with him running times like that.
Eight Belles got 2nd, but broke both front ankles and was euthanized on the track... and people wonder why the racing industry is under such scrutiny. I guarantee you that mare was saveable.. she could have made a nice pasturemate or broodmare... selfish fucking rich people don't give a shit if she can't race.

it is not here yet. I'm giving up. Forgetting about it. That way, when it comes, I'll be surprised. 
Watch him come on my birthday, when I'm 100 miles away watching my brother graduate..that's my luck!
The MIL told me about me the filly. I just shook my head in disgust, and reminded them one more time about why I don't support the races.

i saw a similar incident at the Melbourne cup one year.... (on the TV of course... )
the camera was filming the horses running the home stretch when, plain as day, one of them snapped a leg.
broke my heart
poor horse....
needless to day it was a very sad ending for the horse...
