it's hot and sexy everyday in texas lately. but i'm headed back to canada in a couple of weeks, and it's only 14 Celsius over there right now. this is very depressing news.
i don't want to leave the amazing heat for a chilly summer back home. that's not right.
in slightly more interesting news, i've been watching a lot of documentaries lately. it's become a sort of accidental marathon. here's my list so far:
Grey Gardens
possibly one of the best documentaries i've ever seen. just great.
Crazy Love
it gave me chills, made me laugh, and made me sad for people. but i did find the documentary was a little too flashy. the story itself and people involved are interesting enough that you don't need any special camera work or dramatic collages interjecting constantly.
Salesman
I wasn't sure about a documentary about Bible Salesmen in the 50's, but it was really captivating and sad. If you're a people watcher, you'll really get into this film.
Gates of Heaven
a documentary about pet cemeteries... weird.. a bit sad.. not bad, but weird..
Seven Up! the entire series to date.
this is just fucking cool. and i watched every single dvd they've made up until 49 up. i don't feel like explaining it, but i think everybody should watch it. so interesting.
and that's it so far. do you have any suggestions for great weird/human interest documentaries?
